Chapter 1: Baby Talk

The sun was just beginning to rise, lighting up the night sky and filled it with an array of reds, oranges, and purples. On cue the morning birds began to chirp their wonderful melodies. All seemed calm and tranquil in the world.

"Flug!! Where the hell is that new invention?!" 

Welp, there goes the peace.

"C-Coming right up sir!" Dr. Flug stammered as he rushed around his lab searching through piles of knotted wires, crumbled blue prints and scrap metal for his latest creation. Finally finding the device he raced out of his lab towards the living room where his boss, Black Hat, was waiting. His familiar cold stare greeted the shy scientist as he made his way over. "S-sorry for the wait sir. It's just that my room is a bit messy and it took me forever to build it so I didn't exactly have time to tidy-" Suddenly Black Hat grabbed the scientist by the collar of his blue shirt yanking him towards the evil villain. "Don't give me excuses you blubbering idiot! Just stand there and wait till I instruct you to demonstrate the invention! Got it?!" Flug swallowed the hard lump in his throat before nodded quickly "Y-yes sir!" With that said Black Hat shoved Flug away before dusting off his tux and adjusting his tie. "Good. Now where is 5.0.5?!"

Hearing the sadistic villain call his name 5.0.5 happily bounced into the living room, his flower swaying behind him. Giving an adorable smile Black Hat growled and gritted his razor sharp teal teeth in annoyance causing 5.0.5 to whimper and back away. Pointing over at a recording camera Black Hat ordered, "5.0.5 try to be useful for once and start recording!" 5.0.5 whimpered more but nodded wobbling over to the camera. Black Hat sighed and fixed his top hat making sure he looked presentable when out of no where he was pulled into an extremely tight embrace by a familiar lizard girl. "Morning Black Hat!" Demencia greeted him nuzzling his back happily, her tongue sticking out of her mouth like usual. Black Hat's eyebrows seemed to furrow even more in anger, if that was possible, as he struggled to push Demencia away. "There's no such thing as good mornings, especially when I have to deal with imbeciles like you..."

"Aww don't be like that Hatty! You know you love me~" She cooed and finally released him allowing the villain to breath. "Anyway I heard you giving orders, what should I do to help?" Demencia asked with a large grin, her gold and black eyes gleaming with excitement. With a scowl he turned to the insane woman and placed a finger to her forehead "Your orders are to stay in that corner for the remainder of the recording. You will not move from that spot until then, understood?" He asked as his finger shoved her backwards, his arm stretching until Demencia slammed into the corner of the room, decorated with cobwebs. Demencia's grin only seemed to widen after the impact as she watched his arm retract back to its normal size. Giving a salute she nodded rapidly and sat in a dog like position in the corner. "Understood boss!"

Black Hat grimaced at the mere sight of her and rolled his sharp orbs before turning back to face the camera. Sighing heavily he cleared his throat and pointed a claw towards Dr. Flug who jumped from the gesture. "Lights." He barked and Flug swiftly placed all the lighting in the proper position and flicked the switch, turning them on. "Camera." He barked and 5.0.5 placed his chubby paws on the camera, turning it to angle perfectly on the duo. Flug dusted off his lab coat and held his new device behind his back, nervous sweat bedding down his paper bag. Putting on a menacing grin Black Hat snapped his fingers "Action."

"Hello fellow villains, Black Hat here to make all your most wicked ideas a sinister reality. Today I am happy to show you my most greatest invention yet." Black Hat introduced himself before secretly gesturing Flug to show the device. Flug straightened his posture as he pulled out the device from behind his back. It looked a lot like the Shrink Ray except it had a glowing red tube sticking out of the top and was painted black and red. "Behold! This is the Age Amplifier, a device that can change the age of any hero or villain in your way!" Flug explained proudly, however Black Hat didn't seem as pleased. "What do you mean Age Amplifier? How is that a useful invention?!" He yelled, his anger beginning to boil. Flug flinched from his tone and raised a shaky finger "W-well s-sir this handy device can turn anyone into children. I-Imaging you're being chased by your arch nemesis when suddenly you're cornered. You can blast him with this ray and they will turn into a child. And since they will be so young they won't be able to stop you. You'll be able to r-rob banks, steal from o-old ladies, cause unimaginable chaos a-all while your nemesis is too little to get in the way. It's like taking candy from a baby!"
