Alex X Addie: New Life To Thaw

The Water Breaks

Alex and Addie made it to the waiting room and headed towards some seats. The doctor was there to see them. He was reading some magazines when they shown up.
"Hey there Alex", He said, "It's been ages! Why are you back here?"
"My wife's gotten sick from her pregnancy, Alex replied, "I brought her here for her condition."
He looked over to see Addie feel a bump, followed by a splash of liquid dropping on the floor.
"Oh my god! The baby's coming!" Addie cried.
"We're on it!" The doctor said, and he and Alex carried her to the emergency room.
Addie was in a real pain now. The kicks affected her every second and she began to cry. Alex had to help the doctor out. It was his responsibility overall.
"Don't cry", He said, "Take my hand and push".
So Addie did just that and pressured until...
The cry of a child went into their ears. It took 5 minutes to see what that was about.
"Good news!" He said happily, "Your baby is born healthy!"
He gave the baby to Addie, who looked at it with tears drying off her face.
"Our baby girl", She said happily.
Alex began to cry tears of joy, "She's perfect".
Their baby had Alex's eyes, Addie's nose, and a combination of their hairs.
"Any name for her?" Alex asked, "Like Karen, Carrie, Tina..."
"Ethel", Addie answered.
Alex agreed, trying to rub the tears coming down his cheeks. He then held Ethel in his arms.
"Hi Ethel", He said, "I'm your dad. I love you."
He snuggled with her as she put her hand on his watered eye. Addie was happy to see her child born, but she was more happy to see Alex with their newly born daughter.
