* I do not own any of the pictures that you may see in this story. My characters are based off of real people. I just own their actions in this story, the only part that I do not own is the line that Fifth Officer Lowe says. It is from the movie Titanic, directed by James Cameron. Hope you enjoy! *
* I would also like to thank and dedicate this part of my story to MusicOfTheNight2 because they made the book cover!*
Prologue:
"Thank you for allowing me to conduct this interview. Now what was your job on the Titanic?"
"I was a officer. Nothing really special about it."
"What were you doing at the time of the crash?"
The man remained silent after the question was asked. The reporter didn't know if he had offended the seaman. But he had agreed to answer all questions once he walked through the door to his cabin. A fact that he had made very clear. Finally the seaman spoke.
"If you want to know anything you need to know what happened at the beginning of the voyage. Those are my terms, but the story is not one with a happy ending."
The reporter leaned forward with his leather bound notebook. This was not what he had expected.
"Fine. But none of the survivors who were rescued are going to have a happy ending either. What makes yours' any different?"
"I could have made a difference, but I didn't. And I have to live with that for the rest of my life."
