Childhood friends - Rye Beaumont

Chapter 4

"Nope! Like I'm ever going to see you again because you know, you'll forget about me again. Knowing you" I laughed opening the drivers door.
"Toodles!" I half laughed and screamed at the same time closing the car door.

"Well that was entertaining!" Liv laughed.

"You can say that again" I chuckled as I started the car engine and drove off back home.

Kate's POV:

"Hey dad" I sighed walking through the door. "Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead" dad replied. ( picture of him in media)

"Well I saw Ryan today".

"And..." He said with excitement.

"He's completely forgot who I am literally I was inches away from his face and he doesn't even recognise me. Dad did he even like me when we was younger? Or was he just faking it?" I said trying not to cry as a tear slid down my face.

"Of course he cares darling, don't say that! You guys were inseparable like Siamese twins we couldn't get you apart from each other. I think he still remembers you but he probably has a lot of things on his plate right now. And look at you, you have changed so much into a gorgeous successful young woman no wonder Ryan might not recognise you. Your mum would be so proud of you" dad said softly.

"But I've lost Ryan like I lost mum. Why me dad why do I have to lose the best things in my life I just can't do it anymore. I have to smile and put on a brave face all the time  even though I'm dying inside I have to pretend everything is alright when it isn't. It hurts so much dad but you've just moved on with Amanda and had Chloè and Maddie. Like you've forgotten mum, dad did you even love her? Did you care that she died?" I cried and ran to my bedroom.

** 3 hours later**

I woke up to my phone ringing, I guess I fell asleep then. I got up from my slumber and reached for my phone.

K- Kate B- Blair

K: Hello?
B: Hey Kay it's Blair
K: Oh hey Blair what's up?
B: Kay are you okay? As it sounds like you've just been crying.
K: Yeah I'm fine just missing mum that's all.
B: you know I'm always here if you want to talk for forget that.
K: I know Blair cause you tell me every time but thank you. So what was it you were going to say then?
B: I was just wondering if you could help me. You see I have this new British and Irish boy band called Roadtrip which I am managing and I was wondering if you could help me with your expertise.
K: Umm yeah sure, tell me where and when? And also are the boys going to be there?
B: Right, okay, thank you, meet us at Nandos in Westfields tomorrow at 1 o'clock and yes they will be there and also I'm being Harv as well
K: yeah Okay I haven't seen Harvey in ages. See ya tomorrow byee
B: Bye and Kay?
K: Yes Blair?
B: Im proud of you, never forget that
K: thanks, it means a lot I just wish that mum was here to see me and that hopefully she would be proud of me.
B: Of course she would be proud she is looking over you all the time and Kay everyone is proud of you. I've seen you grow up, I've seen you at your lowest after your mum past away and I've seen you at your highest. I love you no matter what you do even when you make mistakes.
K: love you too bye.

I quickly ended the call and dropped my phone onto my bed and walked to my ensuite bathroom. I looked in the mirror to see mascara stains round my eyes basically looking like a panda. My eyes were red and puffy and my hair was looking like a birds nest. I guess I'm going to have a shower then.
