Rum and Cigarettes

I had been passed out for at least 6 hours, seeing as how when I woke up, I could see light shining in through a slightly covered window. It took me a minute to figure out that I didn't know where I was, but I eventually threw myself up and off the bed I was laying in, landing on a wooden floor covered in cloths and other bits of junk. The sudden fast movements caused my head throb, but I ignored it as my eyes shot up to look at the bed. I heard someone snore, but all I saw was a lumpy pile of pillows.

I sat on the ground, shaking as I tried to think about the night before. I had a mini panic attack just thinking about it, but I stayed as quiet as possible in fear of someone hearing me or the other person waking up. As I was trembling, I used the bed to pull myself up into a standing position, checking to see who was on the other side of the pillows that separated us. It was a woman, Asian of some sort, sleeping peacefully. She had a smile on her face, but why?

I looked down, and realized I had a slightly baggy black leather jacket buttoned up over my once exposed chest and more comfortable shorts on, a bit baggy but staying up. I peeked around, trying to find my cloths, but they were no where in sight, but I did see the door that lead out of the room I was in. It was slightly cracked open, just enough for me to see that it lead into a hallway with a room directly across the way, who's door was shut. I cautiously and quietly opened the door, peeking into the hallway. Empty.

I stepped out into the hallway, spotting a flight of stairs that went both up and down, and I headed down. the stairs creaked a bit, but not as bad as I thought they would. Once I made it to the bottom, I let out a sigh of relief, before freezing in place as a boy with blue hair came up the last flight and stopped when he saw me.. He looked rather familiar. "Ah! You're awake! I di'nt thin you would this early..." he spoke in a rather happy tone. His voice was a bit wimpy and slurred, higher pitched as well, but it suited him in a way.

I didn't know what to say, I just stared, nodding my aching head slowly, then it hit me. He was the one I had fallen asleep into. He cocked his head to the side, waiting for a response from me, but all I could managed was a choked out 'thank you.'. His large, black eyes closed while his mouth curved into a smile, though that rather sweet smile didn't last long as he was sent to the floor with a blow to the back of the head. The smell of rum and cigarettes filled my nostrils.

"Damn it 2D!" a rather evil, scratchy voice shouted. "You're in ma way!". I stared at the shouting man. His skin was green, he was shirtless, wearing only jean pants. He hissed at the groaning blue haired boy, now known as 2D, before looking to me. He was definitely taller than I was at my 5'2" height, which made him a bit scarier than he already was. Though as soon as he saw me, his angry frown went away, his eyebrows weren't scrunched anymore, he had a more neutral face that mad him look less ugly. "Oh, you're the girl 2D n' Russ brought to the car before the show las night, aren't ya?".

I merely nodded, taking a small step back to distance ourselves while 2D crawled away downstairs. The green man made a funny noise, sounding like some sort of chuckle. "Murdoc Niccals' the name, I think I'll just call you Red.". I stared at him for a long moment before I spoke, "Why Red...?". "Cause your eyes turn red when the light reflects off, almost as red as a demon." He chuckled, examined me with a weird noise, and stuck his long ass tongue out with another hiss. "My room is right across from yours~" he seethed as he walked up the stairs, and into the room across from the one I exited, slamming the door shut behind him. Why did that last sentence make me feel so weird...

I shrugged of Murdoc's remark as I headed downstairs, poor 2D was curled up on the couch watching TV. I decided to join him and curl up on the other end. "Why did you guys help me... I didn't deserve such kind treatment from you guys.". I spoke in almost a whisper. 2D looked to me, his blackened eyes wide. "No one deserves to be raped! You deserve to be saved from tha kind of torture... everyone does.". I shrugged a bit, though smiled. "Thank you anyways, for taking the time...". He smiled and scooted a bit closer to me so we could share the blanket. "No problem dear... though don't thank me, it was Murdoc's idea to scope out the yellin.".

I tensed a bit. Just thinking about having to speak to him again gave me the shivers.

After about 30 minutes of watching TV with 2D, I had fallen asleep on him again, he was rather warm, and the warmth soothed my headache, so I took advantage while I could. It was the bes t nap I've had in years.
