~Ross' POV~

Riley and I have been getting better. We haven't kissed in a really long time and I miss her lips. Actually, I'm heading to her house right now to see if we can take it to the hand holding stage. We got home the other day from NYC.

When I walked into her house, I heard crying. I found Riley sitting on her bed bawling.

"Whats wrong Ri?" I asked, sitting down by her.

"My mom called and I have one month." she cried.

"Fuck!" I yelled, wanting to hit something.

"Ross, calm down."

"No! I've wasted most of my fighting with you and I hate it! Damn it! I hate my life." I yelled before punching the wall. Luckily, I didn't leave a hole.

"Ross, it's okay."

"It's not okay Ri! It will never be okay!" I yelled. She started to cry again. I just yelled at her.

She just laid down and covered her face with a pillow.

"No, Ri. I didn't mean to yell at you. Your parents make me mad." I explained, pulling the pillow from her face.

"Sorry." she cried.

"Can I kiss you? I feel like we really need it." I asked, hoping she would say yes.

She nodded. We slowly leaned in and our lips touched. I felt the sparks that I've missed from the last few days. I wanted to deepen the kiss but didn't want to push my luck.

"Ross, I can't forgive you completely yet." she said once we pulled away.

"Actually, I was wondering if we could maybe move on to holding hands." I answered.

"Ya, I'd be okay with that."

"I want to sing you a song." I said, pulling her to the studio.

Every morning after

I’m the same disaster

Every time is Groundhog Day

Tell me, have you moved on?

Am I just a sad song

Playing every night and day?

Say, “can you read between the lines I’m singing?”

Threw away the only chance I had with you

Maybe you’re always gonna be the one I’m missing

All I got left are the words that you said

Stay with me

Tonight

I want you to

Stay with me

Tonight

Got me on a bender

I’m the great pretender

Putting on a masquerade

But when the party’s over

Alone and getting sober

Yeah, you got me wide awake

Say, “can you read between the lines I’m singing?”

Threw away the only chance I had with you

Maybe you’re always gonna be the one I’m missing

All I got left are the words that you said
