"What do you want with me?" You ask the Blu Spy. "What is inside the briefcase?" Spy asks you. "I'll never tell." You answer. "Really? We'll see about that." Spy says. He pulls his knife out and stabs your arm. Your teeth are grinding in pain. "Last chance. What's. In. Side?" Spy asks slowly. "Nothing but your death certificate." You half joke. He pulls his gun out and holds it up to your head. He about to pull the trigger when suddenly, an explosion was heard at the other side of the room. Your team was there to rescue you. "I believe you have something of mine." Scout says.
(One epic fight later)
You were back at the base. There was still blood dripping down your arm from the cut. Medic offers to heal you but you ask him a strange question. "Is there something in my arm?" You ask him. Silence. "I can check and see." He answers. You walk into Medic's room. "Anesthesia?" He asks. You nod yes and take it. You're out like a light.
(Time later)
You wake up in Medic's room. "Was there something?" You ask Medic. "Unless you count a big piece of glass, then nothing." He replies. You smiled relieved that it wasn't something else. You look to your left to see Scout sitting on a chair. He was asleep. You check your watch. It's almost midnight. You get up and shake Scout to wake him up. He doesn't wake up. You grab his arm and drag him to his room saying thank you to Medic on the way out. You throw him on the bed. You notice something in his pocket. A small velvet box. Couldn't possibly be a ring. You guys didn't have a first date yet because of the interruptions. You don't take it. He might not be giving it to you. You head back to your room to see Soldier waiting. "What are you doing here?" You ask him. "A soldier never sleeps until he knows everyone on his team is asleep." He tells you. "Makes sense." You reply. He gets and is about to leave but stops at the door. "Why did Spy kidnap you in the first place?" Soldier asks. "I know what's inside our intelligence. That's why I kept it with me for awhile." You answer. Soldier is in shock. "I'll try to make sure that doesn't happen again." Soldier replies as he leaves. But then, you remember something: Soldier currently had the intelligence when they were leaving the area where you were kidnapped to head back to base. He must have put it back in the intelligence room. You decide to check. And you were right. You open it real quick to see nothing was stolen, even Scout's present. You take the present so you wouldn't have to deal with having it stolen again. You head back to your room and put the present under your bed. You go to sleep.
(The next morning)
You wake up to the hear the sound of yelling. You get dressed and go checked the noise. Just the boys bring crazy. All of them were there, except for Scout. Soldier turns to see you. He walks up to you. "Someone took something from the intelligence." Soldier tells you. "That was me." You tell him. "Why?" He asks. "I left something of mine in it." You tell him. He nods saying I understand. He tells the other it was just a false alarm. They all stop yelling. And they just start talking. You head to the kitchen to see a note from Scout. Not a note. Some recipe. Engineer comes in to grab his wrench. "By the way gal, happy birthday." He tells you. "It's tomorrow." You tell him. "I know." He replies. "But I think someone thinks it's today." You realize now why Scout wasn't here, why there was a recipe, and maybe why he had the box. "Also, there's something in my workshop that Scout got for you." He whispers. You phone buzzes. It's a text from Scout. It reads:
Hey gal! So I was thinking...
Maybe tonight, you and I can finally have our date. I was thinking we go to...
Nevermind. You choose the place. Anyway, cya soon. ❤
