Why the hell not?
She knows she'll regret it later. But she couldn't stop herself. She was setting herself up and she knew it. But she didn't care.
So she replied.
Her: Hello.
Him: I missed you
She froze in place. She wasn't quite prepared for him to say that. He does care, she lied to herself.
Him: you there?
Her: Yeah, I missed you too
She froze once again. He was lying.
She knew he didn't miss her. She knew he was running a around with her. She refused to believe it.
Him: hello?
Her: Yes.....?
Him: Why do you keep taking so long to reply? Is something wrong?
Yes there is something wrong. I love you but you don't feel the same way.
Her: No, I'm just busy
Him: at 2:00 in the morning? What are you doing?
Her: Why do you need to know?
Him: I think I have the right to know what my girlfriend is doing up so late.
Girlfriend. As much as she'd like to, she didn't believe him.
