"Who was... who?" I ask as I push pass the group of girls. "That boy!" The oldest of us all exclaims. "Yeah, the boy you were watching!" The shortest one, with short curly hair, clarified. "I was not watching, I was simply observing." I state as I sit ontop of the desk closest to the door. "That's a lie, if I've ever heard one." Lexi, states sitting infront of me.
She sits there with a serious look on her face. I look to the left to see the girl with long brown hair, giving me an intense glare. The tall blonde sitting there slightly figiting, "Calm down, she doesn't have to tell us." She tries to reason with the group. "No, she does, that is why we all have this class!" Lexi protests, as she waves an accusing finger to me. "Actually, it's for homework." I correct, in a snarky tone. "Same thing!" Jessie, protests from beside the blonde.
I give up and start my ecplanation with a sigh. "Their name's Jayden, but we literally just met." I resond, stressing 'we just met.' "Ooohhh, Jayden.~" Lexi sings their name. "Not Jayden~" I imitate their voice. "Just, Jayden." I proclaim in my usual tone of voice. "For now, soon it'll be-," Jessie pauses, as Lexi and her, share a knowing look. "Jayden~" They both sing.
"Oh, your talking about Lane's new boyfriend?" David walks in the door. "We just met! You hormonal bunch of teenagers!" I proclaim, as I lightly punch the cabinet behind me. Dabid brushes me off, "He also walked her our writing class." He staes as he walks inbetween the two girls. "It was a coincidence!" I protest, all three wave me off once again.
They start fantasizing, and sqealing to eachother. I give up and flop my back on the cabinet. "It's okay Lane, I know you two are just friends." Abby smiles, her blonde hair pulled back. "One down, three to go." I reply, she giggles, then continues to listen to the there's dreams.
"Ooh, what are we sqealing about?" A peppy voice sings as the back door gets pushed open. "Someone is crushing on Lane!" The two sqeal, to the middle aged teacher. "My little Lane! Ahh!" She walks to me and gives me a side hug. "Is he cute?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows. "We just met, Mrs. Jones." I reiterate. "Oh, well that's a different matter." She lets me go and thinks.
"Get to know him, then decide!" She proclaims, a finger wagging in the air. "You're supposed to be the adult in this situation!" I scream, as I watch Mrs. Jones takes David's place in their little girl circle. "Please stop with the daydreams." I grumble looking to the ceiling. "Shh!" The three shush me, afterwards they go back to their dreaming.
"I can practically see your deams above your heads." I say in a grumpy tone, looking at them. Now, Mrs. Jones waves me off, literally!!
A bell rings signalling class will start soon, the main door open, and the main teacher walks in. His hands stacked with paper, as he walks inside. "What's with all the happiness?" He asks looking at the group of girls, then his attention switches to me. "Who killed Lane?" He asks nodding his head my way.
"Their girly imagination did!" I.move my hands to the group. "Someone has a crush on our little Lane!" Mrs. Jones exagerates, to Mr. Johnson. "Pfft!" He laughs as he walks to his desk, he sits in his chair, then motions for the girls to continue. "He walked her to, two classes!" Lexi yells. "And she was watching him, after he left at the door!" Jessie continues. "It was observational!" I protest once again, getting louder than before.
"Honestly, who would like Lane?!" He laughs as he leans back into his chair. "Now that's just plain rude." I state as I sit in the actual seat of the desk. "Lane is a pretty girl." Mrs. Jones says, as she walks to her desk, on the side of the room. "Yeah, but it's Lane, she gets along with people. Yet, she never gets involved with people to early." He reasons with them. "Whatever, we still think they'll look cute together." The two girls say as they sit in the desk normally.
"Sure." The bald teacher says as he sits in his seat. "Okay, homework!" He claps his hands signalling us to get out our homework. I raise my hand, "Shoot." He says as he points to me. "I don't have homework." I answer. "Okay I'll look over your schedule then, we'll go further." With that he turns on his computer.
After a few minutes he returns to me, "Okay, your good in all your class, do what you want." He waves me off, as he helps David with his Chemestry. I take out my phone and earbunds, and go to YouTube.
Just as I pick a new Buzzfeed video, I feel a tap on my arm. I take out my earbuds and look at Lexi, she points to the bald teacher. "Can you take this to the office?" Mr. Johnson asks, waving a small stack of papers.
I nod and get up from my seat, stuffing my phone, and earbuds into my back pocket. I walk to his desk, and stand there, "Tell them, to put this in Mr. William's basket." He instructs as he hands me the pepers. "Got it." I walk to the door and into the hall.
As I walk I pass by the library, and the Counciling office. I walk and do a little dance and hum in my head, to keep myself entertained. I get to the frontof the school, and open the door to the office. I walk inside and wait at the front desk. The boy turns around and looks up at me.
"Yes?" He questions. "Mr. Thompson says, this is to go into Mr. William's basket." I move my hand upwards to show the stack of papers. "Okay." He motions for me to give him the papers. I do as instructed and begin to walk back to class.
I open the door to my Study Skills room, to see the three girls huddled into a half circle. They all look to me as I sit down. "You've never dated anyone, right?" Jessie asks, her brown hair, getting into her eyes, I nod confirming her question. They all nod, and go back to talking, I shrug it off and start watching my videos.
