Slowly, but Surely (Levi x Reader)

Chapter 2

I opened the front door with my suitcase and saw Levi standing before me. I dont think there are words to explain the shock I'm withstanding. The person I have been so ecstatic to meet was right in front of me and my mind is somewhere far beyond where it should be right now. I was planning on thinking about what I'm going to say when I see him at the college, but I'm at a loss for words. I have nothing prepared, just speechless.

"Tch, I wouldn't have expected a loudmouthed shithead like you to be speechless for once" 

This man, has the audacity to call me a "loudmouthed shithead" within the first 30 seconds of us meeting eachother again for the first time in a year. What. The. Fuck.

"Yeah, and I'm also extremely excited to be stuck with a shorty that has anger issues and is a clean-freak for the next 4 years" I fired back. He stared at me with his bored expression that rarely changes and clicked his tounge. I'm already fed up with him, but deep down, I'm bubbling with happiness.

"You guys have already begun bickering again? Damn" Mikasa says as she walks out from behind me. 

"Hey brat, didn't know you were still friends" Levi says to start up a decent conversation. "Oh, ok. So it's that easy to start a conversation that doesn't involve insults with Mikasa and not me? Wooow" I shoot at Levi with a glare.

"It's because I only insult pigs." He says with an uninterested tone.

"Excuse me? Nevermind, I don't know how I'm gonna last in a car with you for 4 god damned hours." I say. "The feeling is mutual" he replies.

Mikasa and I begin to load our suitcases in the trunk of my car with a little help from Levi. His stuff was already in the car he drove here. I put on my sunglasses and my visor and get in the drivers seat, as I'm driving for the first half of the trip, and Mikasa and I will switch after about 2 hours.

We've been driving for about an hour and a half and Levi has been driving in front of us the whole time. Mikasa decided she was hungry and I wasn't going to pass up the offer, so I called Levi and told him to stop at the nearest food place so we could eat. On the sign of the highway, it said there was a Chick-Fil-A so we're now pulling into the parking lot to take a break from driving to have a meal inside the building. 

"Can I have a medium fry with a chocolate milkshake please" I asked the cashier, as I wasn't very hungry.

"I'll have a spicy chicken sandwich meal with Chick-Fil-A sauce please" said Mikasa.

"I'll have a water" Levi blatantly said.

"Ok your total will be ($????)" the cashier said as she gave a small smile.

We did rock, paper, scissors to determine who would pay, and thankfully, Mikasa lost so I didn't have to pay money. Eventually, we payed up and got a usual "Thank you, have a nice day" and got our food. When I tell you that Mikasa absolutely merked that meal, I'm telling you, she obliterated that hoe. Anyways, after we left, I brought my extra milkshake into the car, and we were on the road again. I only had 30 minutes left before I could switch roles with Mikasa so I wasn't complaining anymore.

Eventually, Mikasa and I switched seats in the car and I got comfortable in the back seats, blasted (F/M), and passed the fuck out. Sometimes I contemplate whether I'm narcoleptic or not because I sleep an unnatural amount. Anyways, before I knew it, I was being violently shaken awake by a cranky Mikasa and I opened my eyes to see a beautiful college before me. All that I can think of right now is 'damn, Sina University was a great choice, damn, Sina University was a great choice' over and over again. 

After I was released from my daze, I got out of the car into the blazing heat and got my luggage out (it was a struggle), and rolled over with Mikasa to Levi's car after we got all of out luggage. He closed his trunk and locked his car doors and walked over to us.

"Oi brats, move out of the way so I can take a picture for my Instagram" he said.

Mikasa and I grumbled an "ok" and moved as he took one shakey picture that he thought would suffice, but I had to take it for him because he doesn't know how to take pictures to save a life.(and then tagged myself for pic credits, I also commented "pic creds 💪😡💢💦💯🈵")

After we started walking towards the entrance, we got pushed and shoved on the way to the huge gates that led into the schools frontyard that has fountains, beautiful flowers, and sleek, marble sidewalks. I stopped walking when I got in front of the gate and just took in the beauty of the place I'm going to be staying at for the next 4 years of my life. 

Levi turned around and looked at me, walked over to where I was, and put his arm around my shoulder and said "Close your mouth, you'll catch flies". Usually, this gesture wouldn't bother me at all if we were back in highschool, but somehow, I had this unusual feeling once he did it. It felt...good? After pondering for a bit, I left it alone and just told myself that it's a one-time thing and that I should focus on the beautiful place I'll be calling home for quite a while.
