Chapter 2

Chapter 1: Four Years Later....

It's four years later and Isaac has been doing great. He has a job as a temp as weird as that sounds, he was doing great. He has some friends around the office and they all love Maxine. His boss Jackson Whittemore and his assistant and fianceé Danny Mahealani. They help with Maxine when he needs the help, they know his story, they've taken Isaac under their wing and they love him and his daughter.

Isaac was running late for picking Maxine up from daycare for the second time this week. Isaac ran down the streets corners, and sidewalks, trying hard to hold onto his shoulder bag. He didn't watch where he was going and ran into something--someone in particular.

"I'm--I'm sorry." Isaac said from on top of the boy.

"It's not a problem, really." The boy that was underneath the blonde boy looked at the boy on top of him.

"I really have to get going. Uhhmm--I really have to go, I'm so sorry. Uhmm, maybe I can..." He got off the brunette and pulled him up with him.

"It's fine. I don't mind it," the taller boy said.

"I'm Isaac."

"Scott." Then silence fell upon them until Isaac's phone rang and jolted them both out of their trance.

"I really have to go." The boy said looking at his phone and running off. Scott looked at the ground and noticed the boy dropped his notebook and card. He looked down the sidewalk and noticed the blonde was gone. He picked up his stuff and examined it...

Isaac finally arrived at the daycare walking inside to see Max playing with her teacher Ms Simmons. I guess Max had seen me, because her eyes lit up as she ran towards me.

I bent down and hugged her, "Daddy."

I smiled, being a dad to a beautiful girl never gets old. "Hey, princess. You ready to go?" She nodded skipping off to get her Hello Kitty backpack.

She was pretty, real tall, mixed. She's engaged to a man named Sammy Wilkinson. She's a real nice lady who also knows about my past so she doesn't mind me being late picking Max up. She smiled, and hugged me, "She was great as always." I smiled and hugged her back instantly.
