Suddenly a gust of wind entered the room, I hear a door slam shut and then I hear voices, two distinct voices, I know Mrs Dark is talking to someone, but who? At this hour I wouldn't expect to see any other faces than the sisters of the library, and then something interrupts my thought process, floorboards creak outside the room me and Mrs Grey stand in, and then we exchange looks, I nod my head as she backs off behind the shadowed ebony bookshelf and slowly I reached down into my boots where I reel out a small silvery dagger, "sssshhh" I whisper, hushing Mrs Grey as her face slowly gives in to the shadow, and as the door swings open we both stay hushed, gradually I see a figure step in, only the silhouette could I see, but they had short shoulder length brown wavy hair, and then, that's when I heard the girls voice, "Mrs Dark, Mrs Dark!" She calls down the hallway, "where do you suppose they went? Not far of course, now let's be off, no matter about my book but we simply have to look for them, who knows where they are?" And then as quick as a bolt of lightning the door swings open fully, knocking hard at my head and leaving me on the ground, unconscious, and then I woke up on a sofa, "who are you?" I interrogate the girl, "what is your name? And why haven't I seen you before?" Then she turns to look at me, her pale blue eyes flash in the moonlight and then I stopped asking, I stopped talking. And when I stopped she started, she started talking, "relax, my name is Hope Jean Hopkins and I'm a new comer to this town, I moved here only a week ago, and that's when I met the two sisters of the library, of course you know them too. I've always been a sucker for books and when I found out my house was five minutes away from the library I squealed with joy, my father died when I was a baby and my mother taught me great things, one of which was to always stay strong and have hope, which is what she named me after, I'm terribly sorry for knocking you unconscious and honestly I'm not surprised if you now have a grudge against me, I owe you but there's one question I must ask you..." I sat up straight and softly spoke, "one question, Hope, one." so she then opened her mouth, I could see the hesitancy in her voice as she spoke, "I believe there is something wrong with this town, it gives me the creeps honestly and I don't think I'm the only one who thinks this, am I right, do you agree with me?" Reluctantly, I muttered a response, "Hope, if you must know, then yes, we all know that there's something wrong here, according to the elderly there always has been something a little off, just a little swayed, I stand for what I say, but it's your choice, if you truly think there is something wrong here my advice for you is.... well let's put it simply, LEAVE people don't get the chance to anymore, so honestly I think you should leave while you still can, live out your life and forget about me and the people of this town, we hold the burden, you pass by." My speech was quickly hushed to silence by the sisters, Hope was a newcomer, and once the town realised your here to stay, it will make sure you stay.
