Today was the first day of Senior Year. I was new to this school.. I moved from Orlando Florida to Princeton Indiana. Big weather change considering I'm used to 80 degree weather. Princeton has a lot to offer to me though.
A new start, new friends, new surroundings. I love exploring new things. Oh. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Ashley. I'm 17.
I woke up at 7AM considering school here didn't start until 8:30a.m. I woke up to the lovely sound of Jack & Jack. Flights is my favorite song at the moment. Everything about it is perfect.
I rolled out of bed and walked over to my closet to choose an outfit. It took me 5 minutes but I finally decided on a small tee that my ex gave me, and a pair of highwasted shorts with my white converse. I got dressed fairly quickly and went into the bathroom.
I pulled my hair back and washed my face twice, pat it dry and put my makeup on. Concealer, mascara, and a thin line of eyeliner. I don't like having a cake face. Some girl over do it but I like keeping it simple.
I took down my hair and decided to straighten it. It goes to my chest so it isn't that long considering how petite I am. 80lbs and 5'2. Yeah, very small. I quickly do it without missing any spots.
I grab my over-the-shoulder bag, shove my phone in it and my tampons. A girl needs what she needs. Haha.
I run downstairs and into the kitchen. This house is super big. I spot mom drinking orange juice and my sister eating cereal. I say good morning to them both. "Don't get lost on the way to school!" my sister speaks.
"Ah. Don't be suck a poopyhead." I reply. (Ilysm if you know who tweeted that.)
"Whatever. Just go to school. No boys." she said with a wink.
I smiled and said goodbye to mom and Ally. (my sister is ally.) I grabbed a granola bar and a bottle of water before heading out the door. I walked down the driveway to my car and unlocked it and got in.
I reved my Jeep up and called Luke. My best friend. He still lives in Orlando.
He answered on the third ring.
L: Mmm Hello?
A: Hey Luke! Sleep well? Ha, you sound tired.
L: I am. You woke me up. Shit. I need to get up school starts in 10 minutes!
A: I better let you go. I'll just tell you about the first day later. Okay?
L: Alright. Be careful but have fun. Make some friends.
A: I will. Bye Luke.
L: Bye Ash.
With that he was gone.
I played Flights by Jack and Jack. It finished just as i pulled into the school parking lot.
I lowered the volume so I don't get kicked off campus or blasted out of the car later. That would suck for sure.
I turned off my car, grabbed my bag, my phone and my water bottle. I got out and walked up to the front doors of the school.
I hope today would be great..
