Eliza's P.O.V

I walked out of my classroom hoping to speak with Phoebe. I know. I'm a teacher. And liking my student is kinda against t law. But I can't get her out of my mind. Her smile. Laugh. Eyes.  Freckels.

"Damn Miss. Peters." I looked over and glared at a smirking Veronica. She mouthed 'call me' as I rolled me eyes an continued walking.

The hallway filled with a high pitched scream. I turned the corner to see Phoebe hugging another guy.

Gay my ass! You lied! Even after I stood up for you! I quickly turned around and out the rarest exit. I ran to my car and got in.

She isn't lesbian! Or gay! She's straight. She was hugging her boyfriend! In the hall. She's straight!

My fingers were shaking and my eyes were blurring. My breathing was going crazy. OMG! Anxiety attack. I pulled out my phone and called Lizzy.

"What's up babe?" She answered.

"I- she lied!"

"Who baby?" She asked.

"My student!"

"Anxiety." She whispered. "Deep breaths. Slow them down. Babe. Think o the sunset!" She said reassuring me.

After about a while I finally calmed down. Finally Lizzy asked the question I was dreading to answer.

"I think i-i like my student." I heard her gasp on the other end.

"Come to my house." She said hanging up. I shoved my keys into the ignition and drove off the school grounds.

Why am I reacting like this? I like my student. I know her for about a week. I love her personality. But she lied. Is 'liar' a character trait? Beside she has a boyfriend. But she said she was gay!

I parked my car across the road from Elizabeth's house. I walked, well okay, ran to the door. I threw the door open and Lizzy wrapped her arms around me.

Lizzy and I talked and hugged a lot during our conversation. It made me feel a lot better. She really is the bestest friend in the world.

"Do you think you are ready for the job?"  Lizzy asked. I haven't put much thought into that.

"Well i-i. I don't know." I admitted. She placed her hand on my knee. It felt weird. My ex girlfriend did that a lot when she tried to comfort me. It barely worked.

"Maybe you could take a break next year. I mean come on Eli! Your nineteen. At least live your life before you try to be grown up!" She said. I hugged her.

"This is why I come to you for most things."

"Then maybe you could date your student!" She teased. I groaned.

"Shes straight!" I said.

"You don't know that." She said.

"Yeah I do! S was all over him!"

"Hugging Eliza. It could've been anyone. Best friend. Brother. Dad!" Now that she puts it that way.

"OMG! I just assumed the worst of Phoebe!" I said. I feel so bad.

Lizzy ordered pizza and we had a movie night to take my min off of things. We watched pitch perfect and pitch perfect two.

Lizzy has been my best friend since grade two. I know friendship goals. We dated in middle school but ended up breaking up because she said she liked someone else. After about a year of her avoiding me. She told me she missed me. Now here we are now. As best friends.

"Hey Eli?" Lizzy asked bringing me back to reality.

"Yeah Liz?" I asked back.

"Remember that kid who punched me in grade five?" I nodded. Great memories.

"Yeah. He ended up in the hospital." I laughed. Liz sat up starting at me seriously.

"That was when I knew I loved you." She said. I sat up. Then she pressed her lips against mine. I screamed and pushed her off me. I jumped off the bed and backed up towards the door.

"Elizabeth!" I yelled walking out her room. Her bed groaned underneath her and she was now walking towards me.

"I love you Eliza!" She said walking towards me. I ran down the hall. How could she do that! She was supposed to be my best friend!

"Your eleven years to late!" I yelled. How could she do that! Even after I told her I liked my student. She still decided to throw herself on me.

"I-you-"

"I don't want to hear it!" I screamed. "were done!" I slammed the door behind me and ran to my car. I pulled my car keys from my pocket and unlocked the doors. I jumped in and grabbed my phone.

I phoned my brother. No answer. I called my mom. No answer. I looked at my briefcase. I opened it and looked at Phoebe's files. Her phone number was right there. I needed to tell he how I felt. I dialed and waited. Please pick up! Please pick up!
