Paul placed his phone down on his nightstand before collapsing into his soft bed. His eyes wandered over to the small black velvet box on his nightstand. He found himself reaching for it. Paul slowly opened the box to reveal a gorgeous diamond ring. Anger and pain rushed through him as he threw the box against the wall as tears fell out of his eyes.
