Over the next week or two you slowly recovered, the concussion faded, your lip healed, and all you had to wear around your back was a wrap of gauze and bandage. You were healthy enough to go around running errands and do some people watching, but what you wanted most was to get back on the training grounds. Hanji basically grounded you from any physical stuff, and it disappointed you, but you also understood her.

It was around 7:00 in the morning, and you (as an early riser) were already starting on the daily list of tasks Levi gave you.

- Do laundry

- Wash windows in hallways 3-4

- Dishes after 12:00 breakfast

- Supervise training

- Organize records room.

- Scold Kirchstien/Jaeger

Scold Kirchstien/ Jaeger? What did they do this time? Probably started fighting in the mess hall again. Last time it almost escalated into a food fight... They have the maturity of 10 year olds. But why did you have to do it? Maybe you should go ask Captain about it... Yeah, you should.

The walk to his office seemed to fly by. All you did on the way there was look down on the people training. Eren and Reiner running laps, Mikasa practicing hand to hand combat, Jean and Armin practicing their 3d skills. Oh, how you wished you could be there. But as soon as the feelings came, they left, and you maintained your focus on the task at hand. When you knocked on the door to Levi's office the first time, no one came. So you knocked a second time. No one. You decided to jiggle the doorknob a little bit, only to be cut off by a certai-

"What do you think you're doing cadet?"

Your eyes widened in horror as you recognized the deep voice, and realized what it looked like you were doing.

"N-Nothing sir! I knocked many times to see if you were there but there wasn't anyone, so I decided to check to see if it was locked, sir!" You were paralyzed. His eyes bore into yours like screws to a wall. Your heartbeat was thunderous, and your lungs refused to breathe. You didn't dare speak. The chore list as it was right now would already take you to sundown, any more and you'd drop to your knees. Clearly tired, he let out a deep sigh and his eyes shifted to the floor.

"I told you to drop the 'sir' shit. It makes me feel old. Call me Levi," he sassed as he unlocked his door with a silver key.

You waited for him to enter but his feet stayed planted firmly in place.

"Um.. Levi are you goi-"

"No you dipshit if I was gonna enter I would have done it by now."

Without thinking you rushed yourself into the office. Soothing rays of sun shone through the pristinely transparent window. Not a paper out of place, not a single piece of dust floating through the air. He entered just after you, gesturing to the seat in front of his desk for you to sit in.

"So what are you here for? I'm busy you know."

"I just saw this list of things to do today that you gave me, and you wanted me so lecture Kirchstien and Jaeger? I don't understand what it's about or how I should do it," surprisingly you said those words with ease. Not having to say 'sir' at the end of every sentence made talking to him a lot smoother.

"They were the source of a big argument in the boys dorms. I'm too busy to deal with brats. All you need to do is go rough them up a bit. I'm confident you can handle two boys, (insert last name)."

"Alright, thanks Captain." You got up without another word and started on your way to the training grounds. When you got there, it wasn't hard to find the two boys as they were already bickering at each other about god knows what. As you jogged over to them, Sasha called your name from the resting area.

"(Y/n)! Come here!"

Thinking your current task could wait, you strutted over to her, who was also accompanied by Connie, Reiner and Ymir.

"We have something to ask you. And it had to be over here, so no one else could hear us."

Blood rushed to your cheeks. Blushing was basically your immediate reaction to everything. Something funny happen? Blush. Something not quite right? Blush. Your friends calling you to a secluded corner of the training grounds to ask you an unknown private question? Blush.

"Uh, what is it?"

Sasha and Connie were basically about to break into tears of laughter.

"(Y/n) is there an-" Connie was cut off by his enormous laughter. He just couldn't talk anymore. Obviously this made Sasha break too, their infectious laughs echoing over the grounds.

"God you idiots I'll ask her," interrupted Ymir. She pushed the other two still cackling soldiers out of the way. "(Y/n), is there anyone in particular that you, oh I don't know, find... Appealing?" Her voice basically slithered into your ears. She could say any sentence in the world and it'd sound sexy and seductive.

But appealing? Oh, she mean't the boy kind of appealing. You thought about it for a little bit, but concluded you didn't really like any one boy in particular. You liked them all, but none really caught your attention.

"Mmmm I don't think so.... Why?"

Reiner let out a small chuckle and Ymir smiled at him over her shoulder.

"Ah, no reason. Have fun doing errands (y/n)!"

And as quickly as they came, they left.
