The crew came rushing out into the bay and began putting gear on.
I went over to the cab on the officers side and slipped into my boots and up with suspenders I went on with the hood and on with the jacket.
Rachel was rushing but still the last one to gear up as the trucks engine revved to life.
I said to Rachel
"Make sure your shits on right."
As I climbed into the cab.I looked over to Cody and said
"You got the address?"
Cody replied
"I always know where to go."Rachel jumped in and the door closed we pulled out of the bay door which had been open. I grabbed the mic and said
"You can show truck 22 enroute with five to the box."
And dispatch replied
"Direct truck 22, caller reports there are some vehicle exposures including freight trailers."
Rachel shouted up
"Hey Lt. what's the plan?"
I shouted back.
"Sounds like we will be first due! Which means we will probably do VES and establish command. Dennis will grab the K-12 and pike pole. Mack will grab the roof ladder and irons. And Cody will position the trucks ladder for us to get on he roof. Rachel you're with me we are gonna identify the markings on the trailers and do a 360 and get the power shut off."
