I stared at her as she reminisced our first meeting. She looked really cute as different emotions displayed on her face. Wait.. What am I saying? Did I just call her cute?

"Yeah, I do. It's clear as day...." My thoughts were interrupted upon hearing her say this.

"I guess I better get going now. I don't want to make you more uncomfortable. See you later, Fionna."

I grasped the doorknob when she called out my name.

"Wait!! Uhm, Cake is immensely enjoying herself at the party and uhm I'll be alone here until Dawn or something.." her cheeks were stained pink as she said this.

I translated this as"Marshall can you stay here with me while Cake's away" A smirk formed on my lips.

"Do you think I'm some kind of clown you can use for your entertainment purposes?"

"You can go ahead if you don't want to." There was disappointment in her voice.

"I was just kidding. I don't mind staying since this used to be my home." She gave me a "seriously?" look.

"Just kidding."

She sat on the couch and took her sketch book and a pencil. I sneaked up behind her to see what she was drawing but I failed to see what she was doing since she suddenly brought the sketch book to her chest.

"Don't, Marshall."

I raised both of my hands as surrender. I floated to the window and started singing a song I made up.

She's light and he's darkness

He's woe and she's happiness

There's a lot of differences between you and me

But can't you see the love radiating from me

We, us that's what i really wanna hear

Can't we give it a try? There's nothing to fear

I wish i can tell you what I feel

But im afraid that you'll say that's not real

The day will come when my unbeating heart

will badump and beat again...

I look over to Fionna and see that she had fallen asleep. A smile crept to my lips. I went over to her and carried her bridal style to her bed upstairs. I placed a blanket over her and turned the lamp off.

"Goodnight, Fionna"

Before I could float off Fionna grabbed my hand,

"Dont go, please?" she said half conscious.

She looked so terrified as if something bad were to happen. I gave her a small smile.

"Of course I won't. Sleep now, I'll let nothing harm you.

"Promise?" her eager eyes searching mine.

"Promise."

She immediately fell asleep after that. Fionna the human. You have already made this unbeating heart of mine beat again...
