Welcome readers to this book. Before I begin, I would like to first recommend a book to you all. It is crk101's book called Empowered: Book One: Run. Very awesome. Soon as you're done here, go over there to read it. Now, let's get down to business. As with my other stories, this is original. This book was my second ever completed book which I started back in sixth grade. Of course, I have done revisions as to not sound like a sixth grader. If you've read my other book, The Time Capsule, you'll know that this one was written around the same time. I also may break the fourth wall from time to time, the first time being this chapter. PLEASE READ: I should give a trigger warning for this chapter for self-harm and mentions of suicide. Please be careful. If you skip to the next chapter, you will still be able to understand what's happening for the most part. I think that's all I need to say here. Let's get started!
Why did aliens have to kidnap me? I know, great way to start a book, right? But it is true. I, Willia Lank, better known as Will to many, was kidnapped by aliens. You may think of Will as more of a guy's name. You're not the first, but I'm telling you now, you have a problem with it, you might as well close this book now because you're going to hear that name a lot. No problems? Good. Enough about my name. Back to the aliens part. Let's start before all this shit went down.
It had been a trying month. I was barely holding it together anymore. My friends had been getting kidnapped throughout the entire month. No one knew who or why. I didn't care about that. I only cared about the fact that they were gone. I had stopped eating completely. My parents tried to get me to eat something daily, but it wasn't any use. I wasn't sleeping either. I still had to go to school, but I usually didn't do anything. What was the point of getting good grades if I didn't even want to live without my friends? For all I know, they could be dead. For the most part, I would hide in my room and stare at the wall. That is, if I wasn't cutting. I started about two weeks ago. It was after my best friend Taegan was taken. That's when I broke. With her there, I was able to handle this tragedy to an extent. We used each other as a crutch seeing as these were her friends disappearing too. I really hope she's not dead. If she is, I will kill myself without hesitation.
I was currently sitting on my bed, watching the blood flowing from my arms. I had decided it was better to feel pain than this numb feeling I have any other time. I had stopped crying about the situation a while back. Tears won't do anything. All of a sudden, I heard a thump from upstairs. That was weird. I was the only one home. As much as I wanted to ignore it, curiosity won out. I quickly wrapped my arm in gauze before quietly opening my door. Standing there was a large, indigo alien.
"Aw, hell no!" I shouted as I slammed my door and locked it. Panic quickly ensued. Is this the bastard who took my friends? Panic was quickly turning to anger. The alien was pounding on my door. I grabbed my still blood-covered razor. It may be small, but it's better than nothing. I'll force this asshole to tell me the location of my friends. I stood back as far as I could and unlocked the door. I quickly jumped up onto my bed as the door crashed open. It turned out that there was not one but five aliens.
"Shit!" I cussed loudly. I was not going down without a fight. I slashed the neck of the first one that approached me. Black liquid that must have been its blood spurted out at me. It was pushed aside by its companions. Two approached me at the same time. I jumped onto one of them, catching it off-guard. We fell to the ground, and I slashed its neck as well. This would be my last kill as I was grabbed from behind by two of them. They were very strong and able to hold my 5'4 frame still with ease. Not to mention I was weakened by lack of food. Even if I was at full strength, they could still hold me. The one holding my left arm was really causing me pain since that's where the cuts are. It didn't stop me from struggling though. The third alien decided it had enough and punched me in the gut. I sharply inhaled before coughing. Well, that hurt. I would have collapsed, but their grip was tight enough that I didn't.
"Is this the correct human we've been searching for?" the alien that punched me asked the other two. Fine, just ignore me. Fuck you too.
"Yes. I can feel the power practically dripping off her," the one on my left said. Power? What the hell are they talking about? The alien in front of me bent down to examine me. I spat in its face. He slapped me across the face. Hard. Worth it.
"I thought the file said that she wouldn't be this fired up after we had taken all her friends," the one on my right said. Oh, so they did take my friends. Well, I can say that first chance I get, I'm going to torture their asses before slowly killing them.
"She shouldn't be, but humans can be surprising on occasion," the one in front said.
"You bastards! I will kill you! Where are my friends?!" I yelled as I tried to kick them. They retaliated by grabbing my legs. Eh, it was worth a shot.
"You will see them shortly. Sedate her," the front one said as he turned to exit my room. Once he was gone, two more came in, one holding handcuffs, the other holding a large syringe. Nope, nope, so much nope. The alien with handcuffs came forward first and pushed my head to the side, exposing my neck. It also held my torso still. The syringe alien came forward and inserted the needle into my neck. Whatever I was just given started to work instantly. I felt my eyelids droop, and I was out cold.
How about that for a first chapter? Yes, Will gets fired up very easily. This book like my others will have weekly updates, maybe sooner depending on response. As you might have noticed, it's a bit dark. Well, how would you react if all your friends were being taken, and you didn't know if they were alive? Not well, I presume. Don't worry. This chapter may be dark, but it does lighten up a good bit after this. Thanks for reading and see you next time!
