Silent Sal: Returns

I never really thought of the world as a dangerous place. Or maybe it was the fact that I've never encountered the danger that happens to other people. I'm not going to lie, I've use to tell people that creepy old men had followed me home and tried to kill me. But that was all for the fun of it. I never really feared any of what most people feared, I would tell everyone I was fearless. But let's be honest here, I go to school, and I go home, I do homework, I hang out with the boys, it's just a regular life for me. I believe I'll never even meet with the worst. Nothing bad has even happened to me, and nothing bad will ever happen to me.

That being said, I shouldn't think this way, because you never know how badly life could take a turn.

"AIDEN JAKOB MICHAEL, COME DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW."

Shit...

I placed my dads cigarette down, and Jared, Darren and Ronny laughed at me as I ran over to the window. I threw my cigarette out, and ran to the door. "Okay, don't fucking say anything alright?" More laughter. "I'm serious, boys. I've got strict parents, you have no idea what kind of trouble I could be in." With that, I ran down the stairs and brushed my fingers through my brown hair.

"Yeah?" I spoke softly, acting as chill as I possibly could.

"Where's my cigarettes?" My father said with a rather stern tone as he lead his arm against the counter. He stared at me with his dark blue eyes, causing my lighter blue eyes to burn.

"It was Lily, she touched them not me." I glanced over at the five year old I called my sister and she crossed her arms, ready to blow.

"I didn't touch them, I'm only five years old, I don't even know what they are."

"Don't play stupid." I snarled at the five year old, and gave her a look which I only got puckered lips, furrowed eyebrows and a stink eye. I glanced over to my father who was not one bit amused. After what seemed like ages, he slipped out his hand, and I rolled my eyes. I disappeared up the stairs, and returned moments later, placing the cigarettes in his hand.

"Seriously, Aiden. I'm done. No more of this shit, I'm not going to ground you, but tell those stinking kids to get out of my house." He put the cigarettes in the back of his pocket, and walked towards Lily, lifting her up into his arms. She stared at me while he carried her away, giving me the tongue and I gave her the finger.

I walked back upstairs, and pushed open the door, looking at the boys who were laughing. "You guys gotta go." I headed inside my room, and started to pick up their bags, handing each out.

"Dude, what the hell, why?" Ronny said, watching as I fell back onto my bed, yawning.

"My dad found out, he's not to happy and wants you guys out. But I'll see you guys tomorrow at that party right?" They all groaned and nodded while saying goodbye and walking out the door. I turned over on my side, snatching my phone from the charger, and unlocked it with my thumbprint. I scrolled through Instagram for a while before finally getting tired. I always hated my father but at the same time, I knew he just cared about me and didn't want me to make the wrong choices...

And with that thought, I fell asleep.

Next day

I heard the tapping on my door and instantly woke up, my eyes adjusting to the light of the sun beaming through the window. Knock knock knock. Ugh. I sat up and slipped on my shirt, as well as my pants. As I buckled my pants, I stumbled over to the door immediately, and opened it. No one was there. Odd. It was probably Lily playing some kind of trick which she thinks is funny, but it really isn't. I headed downstairs and watched as my mother came into sight, she was drinking coffee while leaning on my fathers shoulder as he made pancakes.
