My Point of View

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The early morning sunlight glared into my pale grey eyes as I slammed my hand onto the alarm.

6:30am

I got out of my cozy bed and ran into the chilly bathroom. Freezing water woke me up as I went into the shower. I groaned as my 6 minute timer went off. My scrawny legs jumped out of the shower. My tangled dark hair became a ponytail after I combed and tied it up.

7:00am

"Honey! Breakfast is ready for you kids!" shouted my mother as I sped downstairs. My sister Lucy was already in the kitchen drinking a cup of orange juice in her hand. Her light grey eyes smirked at me as I sat down in the wooden chair.

"Thanks mum."

"Anytime sweetie!"

7:30am

My mum drove Lucy and I to our new high school, Blueshoe High School. To be honest, I'm actually pretty excited to go there. Blueshoe has an excellent band program, which will fit in all my musical needs. Lucy, on the other hand, dreads school. Her favorite subject at school is lunch, if that even counts. Aside from looks, I don't see how we are identical. Her thick black hair covers her pale face as she scrolls down on Twitter. I rolled down the window, letting the icy wind touch my neck. Blueschool High School, here we come.

8:00am

"Welcome to Math 101, future mathematicians!" welcomed a loud but soft voice. The door swing opened. A petit lady with a lime green striped dress stood there. Her auburn hair was tied back in a bun as she readjusted a couple of loose hairs. She had a huge grin as she shook hands with every student.

"I am Miss Cole, your Math 101 teacher. Please sit anywhere you please, but remember I will also be moving around students!" exclaimed the lady.

For a person with a soft voice, she sure is loud.

I hurriedly took a seat next to my sister. I took out a crisp piece of line paper. Lucy nudged me. I sighed and gave her my sheet. I took out another sheet for myself.

"Is anyone sitting next to you?" asked a husky voice. I looked up, and saw a girl with kaleidoscope eyes. Her green parka matched her emerald green hair as she took a seat next to me.

"I assumed your answer was no," she stated.

"You're correct, no one is sitting there." I replied.

She winks at me as she drew a yellow tulip.

The first chapter of my book, lol. Not the best but not the worst. I'll continue it later in the day if I'm not too busy.
Who is the girl with kaleidoscope eyes??
