Your P.O.V
[7 yrs. old]
You don't really know what's happening right now. All you knew was that your dad was carrying you, running away from something "bad and mean", as what your dad would say.
You just stayed quiet and avoided causing trouble.
Just as you and your dad was about to escape the dark forest, someone tackled your dad, causing you to be thrown out of your dad's reach.
"Daddy! Daddy!" You yelled out, looking for your dad. You spotted him and was about to go near him.
"Don't _____! Run away! Hide from the bad people." He said, covering his wounded abdomen.
"But daddy, you're hurt!" You said, worried for his safety.
"Don't worry. I'll catch up! Now go!" He said, holding on to a tree.
You followed his command and ran the opposite direction. You didn't know what to do, so you just ran and ran, never looking back.
You bumped into someone and fell on your butt.
"__________?" The person said.
You looked up and you saw your dad's bestfriend, Kris.
"U-Uncle Kris." You stuttered out. You quickly stood up and hugged his leg.
"What happened _______?" He asked, carrying you.
You hugged him and sobbed on his shoulder.
"M-my dad and I-I was running f-from someone. Then he was attacked by something. I-I was about t-to help him but he said I should r-run away." You sobbed out.
He just nodded his head and caressed your hair, comforting you.
"I'll take you home. I'm sure your dad will find you there." He said, heading to the direction of his home. You just nodded your head and dozed off.
[7 years later]
After that terrible experience, your dad never showed up. He never came to get you.
You continued to live with your Uncle Kris. He seemed to be a very nice person. He took you in after the incident. You were indebt to him.
As you were about to get in your room, you heard a growl from your Uncle Kris' room.
Curious, you slowly tiptoed to his door and opened the door quietly. You saw your uncle turning into something you've never seen before, causing you to gasp loudly.
The creature quickly looked at your direction. Panicking, you quickly went in your room, locking it. You hid under your bed, covering your mouth.
Someone pushed your door forcefully, making it fly away from the doorframe. You were startled, but you remained quiet.
You closed your eyes, trying to breathe quietly so the creature won't hear you. You could hear the footsteps.
Then the footsteps stopped. You wondered what happened. So you slowly opened your eyes, adjusting your eyes from the dark.
After opening your eyes, you screamed. Right infront of you, were red glowing eyes and long sharp teeth.
"There you are."
