The one in the cloak had been walking for a few days now. Several towns flew past her radar yet she did not stop for a single one. Entering a town would be a bad idea for her, stopping in a single place for even a night was an agonizing experience. There was no such person pursuing her, yet staying still was not an option for her. If she stayed still, reaching her goal would take much longer and she was not exactly a patient person. This was something that was her only purpose in life and if not fulfilled, she would rot away into nothing. Like a God without any faith...or a person with not a single motive in their frail life. The light breeze blowing between the thin trees around her shifted. Her slow pacing came to a halt as if did so, crushing the leave beneath her shoes creating a small crunching sound beneath her. Her thin eye slits shifted to her left side and without the need of turning her head, she knew she was not the only one taking the path. No...it was more as if the person was following her. Why would they take the exact path she had taken? Would one even call this a pathway? She was in the middle of the vacant forest and the chances of being followed were minuscule. The pale female's breathing slowed as she closed her eyes and continued her slow pace through the forest. Honestly, picking up on whoever was following her was simple. She could smell them, all living things gave off a particular scent and those adept at smelling them could practically see without their eyes, her included. Whoever followed her obviously knew to keep their distance, yet stay fairly close to keep her in their sights. So they weren't amateurs, congrats. Though if this continued any further the person would become a huge nuisance and it wasn't as though she were gaining anything from letting them follow her around either.
"Hm..", Hidou turned her body slightly, in such a way she was glancing behind herself. What an annoyance this person was...wasting more of her time..,"Well. How long do you plan on tailing me..?"
She was slightly interested in finding out who the person was and mostly fixated on the task at hand she needed to fulfill. This person was an obstacle, and all obstacles would be crushed. It mattered not what others thought of her, so long as that goal was reached, the world can look at her in any way that they wish..Of course the person realized that she knew of their presence and slowly but surely began their inevitable walk outside of their hiding place and reveal who they were. The breeze picked up yet again, running itself through the leaves of the trees and causing Hidou's cloak to sway in the direction it blew, the same applied for the other person as well. The other person was someone familiar, he must've been the Commander of the unit who fought the day before. Tsutari Miji. To Hidou he simply was an extremely tall man who hid behind his mask, nothing spectacular. To be precise...nothing truly impressed her anyhow. He was just another human after all..
Tsutari glances down upon the female before him. Anyone could easily mistake her to be just another normal human being, but the Commander knew better. Following the traces of aura from within...Ayumi's corpse would not be a difficult task.. and those traces lead him to no other than this female. He would not question the Aura signature, Aura was an invisible force that existed with the soul of every being in the world. Each one was unique so there was no such thing as a soul identical to another, it was absolute like an ID print. Mistaking an her aura to another's highly unlikely, in fact, it should be impossible. There was no mistaking it, this girl was the the culprit.
"I should have expected as much," The Commander spoke up. While she could not see his expression clearly because of his mask, it was obvious that his voice carried hostility within it, "...You knew I was tagging along. That's good. I have a feeling you're the UMIU Hunter.." Hidou narrowed one of her eyes and without uttering a single word, she answered to him that she was annoyed by his presence. Not as if that would make him begin to regret his choice of words and back away to leave her alone."I see...and your last victim...?"
"You already know."
Hidou slowly began to grow ever more annoyed. She knew the man was just itching to begin a speech about 'Justice' of some sort and how he cared for that....THING. They all did it. It was a waste of time for her. For every minute that was burned on something other than continuing the journey towards her goal was an agonizing waste of time- something her pursuers loved to waste. Tsutari caught onto her silent anger beginning to boil which oddly enough brought a grin to his face, cracking the stoic demeanor he held beforehand. Did she seriously feel annoyed that he came and got in her way? After what she did to Ayumi? His grin etched into laughter, filling the serious air with growing lunacy. It was only natural after all however. The person the man loved, taken from him suddenly and to never return ever again..
The commander's laughter increased with every passing moment not even phasing the female in front of him, "Really? Are you really giving me that look right now? Huh?!", His laughter quickly exploded into rage, "Forget justice...you'll pay for what you've done. You bastard.. what has Ayumi ever done to you!!" For the first time in his life Tsutari grew enraged. What was once an always laid back man, a leader to everyone else...warped into a feral beast of hatred. Tsutari placed his hand along the hilt of his blade which lay within the black sheathe along his hip, gripping onto it and pulling it from within its home. In his left hand was a horizontally-flat blade, it's metal shining in the light of the full moon. It was a short lived sight however, black flame danced from within the man's hand, engulfing the entirety of the sword which began to heat up the air between him and his target.
"Hm..," Hidou narrowed her eyes, staring at the black flames dancing along the commander's blade. He was clearly a member of the Miji family, only they were adept at manipulating black flames. The fire that not only burns, but destroys the makeup of physical objects. A nuisance, "I see. Then this may turn out to be a challenging battle after all...", though she held the advantage. The look in the man's eyes were nothing short of rage, which meant he wouldn't be able to think about his actions as much as she would.
