Alex wasn't quite sure what happened between him and Justin, but all he knew was that the boy was suddenly no longer talking to him and he hasn't been since Montgomery's party two weeks ago. He has also been avoiding Alex whenever the whole gang hangs out at Bryce's house. No matter what he did to try to get Justin's attention, the jock continued to ignore him and Alex's patience was beginning to wear thin.
It was when Justin pushed right past him in the halls before school one morning and avoided any eye contact that Alex decided enough was enough. He followed Justin out to the courtyard. Alex took a deep breath, unsure why calling out for the jock was making his insides churn with uncomfortable anxiety, but he pushed through the barrier of worry and cleared his throat."Justin!" He yelled. But the older boy simply kept walking and didn't turn around, which caused anger to pool in the blonde's stomach.
"Justin Foley don't you dare ignore me!"
Tears burnt in his eyes and his hands were clenched in fists of rage at his side."What do you want, Standall!" Justin yelled back as he turned to face the other boy.
"An explanation as to why the hell you've been ignoring me and I have no idea why! Did I do something wrong?" Alex drew in a sharp breath, attempting to stop the tears from falling but he seemingly failed as tears began to cascade down his cheeks. "What did I do wrong?"
Justin's gaze softened as he took in every word that Alex said and saw the boy break under the pressure of all the emotions piled up inside him. "Alex," He whispered, taking a step towards the blonde. "You haven't done anything wrong. I can promise you that, but something happened at the party. You were pretty drunk so you probably don't remember but I do. I remember it all."
Upon Justin's words, images of Montgomery's party floated across Alex's brain. The first was of him and Justin sitting on the couch surrounded by a group of other people, forced into playing Seven minutes in heaven.
The second was of Justin pinning him against the wall before kissing him like the blonde was his life line.
Now that he thought about it, he kind of wanted to do it again."We kissed." Alex stated, looking up into Justin's perfect brown eyes that vaguely reminded him of his own. "We kissed and I liked it."
Justin just stared at the younger boy. "You did?"
"Yes, I did. And a couple months ago I would have never thought I'd say that to my ex girlfriends boyfriend.
But honestly Justin, I liked it and-"
Justin took a few steps toward Alex and cut him off by pulling the blonde closer, and gently pressing their lips together. At first Alex was shocked but when he realised what was actually happening he passionately kissed back. Then school let out and everyone started to walk through the doors.
And Alex gave Justin a cheeky smile and walked away.•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
Alex sat cross-legged on his bed, doing some random homework that he had picked up over the past week when his phone went off.
He sighed and set his pen down before picking up the phone. He couldn't help but smile down at the screen as he read the text.Justin: Hey Standall :)
Alex: Checking up on me Foley?
Justin: What...no...just miss you.
Alex: Miss me? What about Jess?
