Pumpkins

When Andie woke up she saw a few Apple slices and Orange juice layed out on the table and she turned to see Luna on Jimmy's lap as he read Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.

She went over to the table and sat down and she turned to face Jimmy again.

"Thanks." Andie said to Jimmy. Jimmy then put the book down a bit lower so he could see Andie.

"Your Welcome." Jimmy said with a smile on his face.

After Andie finished up she got up and went to grab a basket laying next to one of the table legs of the table the lamp in the middle of the room was on.

"I'm going to go try and find some fabric or cloth outside." Andie said to Jimmy as she grabbed the basket.

"Why?" Jimmy asked her closing the book and then putting it away.

"Because I saw you sleeping without a blanket I have a ripped curtain to use as one and you have nothing to keep you warm." Andie told Jimmy as she made her way to the wall.

"Ok then Luna, and I are coming to I mean we need to look out for each other and you don't have a pillow so I can try and find something." Jimmy said as he went to go pick up his basket and a knife that he put in his sweater pocket.

"Alright then let's go." Andie said pushing the wall it turned and Andie, Jimmy, and Luna went out of their safe place and Jimmy pushed the wall back into place.

"Actually wait Jimmy why are you bringing a knife?" Andie asked him before they started walking.

"So we can cut the fabric or cloth if we find it the Strikers can find us if we cut it in the sewer even if it is inside the safe place we made as it can get stuck underneath the wall and then they could find us if they see it sticking out." Jimmy said to answer Andie's question.

"Oh alright." Andie said as they started walking.

They trudged through the sewers to the manhole they enter and leave from and they pushed it out of place they then climbed up onto the streets and went off searching for what they needed.

The street lights were the only thing on in the quiet neighborhood not even the decorations were on the front yards not that it was much of a surprise to Jimmy, Andie, and Luna as they heard the Mage talk about bringing them to life.

"The place seems so dead and lifeless without everyone." Jimmy said as he walked down the quiet street with Andie and Luna.

"Yeah it's not normal it's scary." Andie said to Jimmy.

They walked down the street for a while in silence when suddenly a howl was heard from behind them.

Andie, Jimmy, and Luna turned around and saw a pair of yellow glowing eyes stare at them they watched as they got closer and as the eyes formed a werewolf.

"Um we should probably run now." Jimmy said to Andie who started to walk backwards and Jimmy did the same as her but he heard small footprints hit the hard cement street.

Andie and Jimmy turned around to see Luna making a run for it and they heard the Werewolf start running so they instantly started running after Luna.

The sound of footsteps hitting the street filled the void of missing sound in the dark night sky as Jimmy, Andie, and Luna ran from the hungry Werewolf.

Andie turned to see the Werewolf right behind them the glowing yellow eyes watching them as they ran the torn clothes it was wearing indicated the Werewolf used to be a girl.

"Jimmy the Werewolf is catching up fast!" Andie said fearfully as it got closer.

"What! Um ok here turn!" Jimmy said as they entered a forest they made a turn into the trees they watched the Werewolf run in after them, Jimmy took a second turn and Andie and Luna followed the Werewolf then ran right past them.

"Oh thank gosh that's over." Andie said with a sigh of relief.

"Yeah I thought we were dead meat." Jimmy said as he turned back to get onto the path in the forest.

"You know I have never seen this path here." Andie told Jimmy as they walked down the path leading deeper into the forest the path was being lit up by two large rows of Jack-O-Lanterns.

They walked down the path when suddenly the Jack-O-Lanterns raised from the ground looking like scarecrows and they picked up Andie, Jimmy, and Luna.

"What the?' Andie said as she turned around to face the Pumpkin headed scarecrow that was carrying her.

"What do you want from us?" Jimmy asked them as they took them further down the path.

"We're taking you to sacrifice you to our god the one that has made sure we stay safe in this sick world you call Earth." The Jack-O-Lantern said as it put its hand over Jimmy's mouth,

The Jack-O-Lanterns walked for a long time before reaching a cabin at the end of the path the one holding Luna then put the cat in one hand as it opened the door.

The room was lit with lanterns hanging on the ceiling and more Jack-O-Lantern scarecrow people where in the cabin.

Jimmy noticed the skeletons around the place stuck in webs.

"Oh great Pumpkin god come down from the sky as we have a sacrifice just for you that will make you chew The Pumpkin people shall rule once your strong enough to stay so descended from the sky to grow your strength!" The Pumpkin people chanted over and over as the ones that were carrying Andie, Jimmy, and Luna tied them to a wooden plank holding up the room near the end of the cabin.

Then Andie, Jimmy, and Luna were stuck on the plank as a giant Pumpkin Spider came down on a big thin web it put it's eight feet onto the ground as it let out a screech it was ready to feast on them and The Pumpkin people cheered for their god as Jimmy, Andie, and Luna watched in horror.
