Harry's adopted son Severus

Chapter 3

"After this we have to run to Diagon Alley for more stuff for Sev." Harry announces feed Sev the last of his breakfast. Sev whines loudly at the idea of being seen in his tiny form. "Sev we have to buy you things. What Professor Dumbledore sent with you won't last forever." Ginny reasons summoning a piece of parchment to make a list. "It's fine Sev plus Ginny's brothers made these cool bracelets that disguise us from cameras. "Yeah and the cover story for why we have a baby in our care is that you parents died during the war and we are fostering you." Ginny tells the baby. Sighing as much as a baby can Sev nods at their ideas. "Great then let's get you changed and ready for the day out then. Yeah?" Harry asks the baby picking him up and bouncing him a little. I can trust Ginny. Right? Harry trusts Ginny, so I can too. She told me I could trust her. Can I? "Immy" The baby cries out. What just came out of my mouth. Oh well can't back out now. "Do you want me to change you Sev?" Ginny asks with uncertainty. "Immy" Sev says again making grabby hands towards Ginny. "Okay I'll change you then." Ginny says taking the baby from Harry and cradling him close. They quickly enter the bedroom and look at the two sets for clothes that had been transfigured for him. "Do you want to wear the onesie that looks like a quidditch uniform or do you want to wear the onesie that looks like slytherin robes?" Ginny ask the baby shifting him so he could see the two onesies. "Em waht um." Sev says pointing to the one that looks like a quidditch uniform. "Okay then." She says quickly changing him. "Let's go see if Harry's ready." Ginny says taking him back into the living room kitchen area. "Harry you ready?" She asks walking behind the chair Harry is sitting in. "Yep, let's go." Harry says getting up and grabbing the diaper bag he had packed. They flooed to Diagon Alley. 

Diagon Alley 

Harry shoots out after Sev and Ginny. He quickly wipes the soot off of him and picking back up the diaper bag. "So where do we need to go first Gin?" Harry asks her. "Well, here hold Sev so I can get out the list. First we should go to lanybok's everything shop. They will have most of the stuff we need for Sev there." She says looking at her parchment. They walk quickly through the crowded walk way to the shop. "Let's get a carrier and a sling. I saw Tonks wearing one with Teddy. It's really great because he would be right there but you can use both of your hands." Ginny says excited about shopping. "That sounds great Gin lead the way." Harry says to his obviously excited girlfriend. Ginny pulls them through the store, sometimes stopping to ask them their opinion on color options. But other than that the boys just followed her through the store. "Ginny is that you?" A voice shouts from across the aisle. "Tonks what are you doing here?" Ginny says back approaching the figure that had yelled out her name. As they go closer Sev was able to see a witch with bubble gum pink hair that was none other that Nymphadora Tonks. Sev quickly began to squirm in Harry's hold hoping he had gotten the message. "What's wrong Sev?" Harry asks the babe bouncing him, as that normally calms him down. Sev doesn't answer he just keeps fidgeting and starts to cry softly. "Gin I'm going to take him to the bathroom" Harry says as she is walking away. She says okay over her shoulder. Harry quickly works his way through the maze of shelves to the bathroom. "Okay cub it's just you and me now. What's wrong?" Harry ask him. I can't communicate properly in this size. "Is it that you don't want Tonks to see you like this. Does it make you feel vulnerable?" He ask the baby in his arms gently. Ding ding ding we have  winner.  "Yeah," the baby gurgles out. "You don't have to worry about that Sev. Tonks isn't that bad when you get to know her. Plus she has a son a little it younger than you. You can trust her I promise and I never break a promise." Harry tells him gently still rocking him back and forth. The swaying and the sound of Harry's heartbeat mingle together, making Severus think it was about time to take nap. "Go to sleep cub I'll protect you." Harry coos still rocking. Harry finally exits the bathroom. "Hey Harry!" Tonks shouts when she spots him. Ginny shushes her when she sees a sleeping Severus. "I'm sorry just got excited. Who is this little one?" Tonks asks when she finally spots the sleeping baby in Harry's arms. "It's kinda complicated. Tonks but I promise you will understand later." Ginny replies motioning to the baby. "Okay." Tonks says losing her normally excited energy. "Is Remus here?" Harry asks changing the subject. "No, he's at home with Teddy. But he has been talking about seeing you guys. Maybe for dinner sometime this week?" She asks looking at some baby clothes. "Ah yeah we'll have to see how this one settles in." Harry says. "OH so he's living with you, you're like fostering him, yeah?" She says looking at the couple. "Like I said it's complicated. Just please be patient and everything will make sense soon." Ginny says looking at playpens and a high chairs. "Well it's been great seeing you but I have to be going Remus wants us to go out to lunch at the leaky cauldron if you would like to join us." She offers with a smile. "Actually that's sounds great." Harry says smiling back at her. "Okay just let me buy this stuff." Ginny says pushing the cart back towards the front of the store where the check out is located. The three adults and Sev in the sling walk down to the leaky cauldron. They are able to quickly find Remus sitting at a table with baby Teddy. "Harry, Ginny, I wasn't expecting to see you here." Remus says with a smile of delight on his face. "Oh, I invited them dear, you were just saying how we should have dinner with them so I figured I'd just invite them to join us for lunch." Tonks says smiling. "Great idea sweetheart." Remus says passing over a fussy Teddy to Tonks as he was hungry. "Hello my little Teddy bear." Harry says tickling the baby under his chin, from his spot next to Tonks. Teddy lets out an adorable giggle and his hair flashes the color of the rainbow, before latching on to Tonks breast and feeding. Sev decided now would be a good time to wake up. "Well hello there mister." Harry says to Sev who was in his sling that was still around Harry. "Harry I don't mean to be rude, but I don't remember you having a baby."  Remus says with a chuckle. "Ahh this is Sev, Ginny and I are taking care of him." Harry says uncomfortably. Sev whines and wiggles to get out of his sling. What are you doing Harry, don't tell the wolf my identity. He's going to kill me. Harry won't let him kill you. A voice in Sev's head says. You don't know that. What if tries to eat me. Sev thinks to himself or so he thought. Remus' not that bad Sev you'll see that. And I promise nothing will happen I will always protect  you. Don't worry cub. Another voice in Sev's head says. Sev's eyes fly open looking up at Harry, who was still talking to Remus about quidditch. Harry looks down at Sev and smiles  giving him a wink. Still feeling tired he lays his head back down and his eyes slip close and he falls back to sleep. "Ok Harry enough avoiding the subject. Tell me how you got a baby." Remus says his smile replaced with a serious expression. "Sweetheart they said it's complicated, they will tell us when their ready." Tonks says patting Remus' shoulder. "Come on guys we have always been here for you. Don't keep secrets from us." Remus says looking at the young couple desperately. "Think Moony who else do we know whose name in short is Sev?" Harry asks looking at the Tonks and Remus. "Oh my goodness." Tonks says covering her mouth. "You don't mean Severus Snape do you?" Remus says looking between Harry and Sev. "The one and only Moony." Harry says looking at the older couple. "What happened to him?" Tonks asks. "Does he have his memories?" Remus asks. "A potion accident he tried to kill himself but it exploded and left him like this. And yes he has all of him memories. He's doesn't want anyone to know that it's him. To him you are still his enemy and could hurt him, he thinks you want to kill him Remus." Harry says looking at Remus. He wishes he could get Sev to see Remus the way he sees Remus. "We have a dark history Harry, and honestly he has a right to be scared, I mean I almost killed him." Remus says looking down at the table. "But not on purpose and I know you would never intentionally hurt someone." Harry argues. "We both know that we just have to show it to him." Harry says deep in thought. "How come he hasn't completely freaked out yet if he's so scared of me?" Remus wonders. "He's still groggy from his nap, so I don't think he fully realized you were here, and I was able to calm him down. But I don't think we will be so lucky next time." Harry says. "Let's not worry about that right now he is in a deep sleep right now so let's just eat and enjoy each other's company." Ginny suggest signaling the waitress that they were ready to order. The two couples order their lunch and talk about lighter subjects. That was until Sev started to stir again. Ginny lifted him out of the carrier that they had transferred him into. "Hi Sev, did you have a good nap?" Ginny asked in a voice like she was talking to an adult. Sev just sighs and keeps his eyes close. He doesn't even realized that Tonks and Remus are there. "Hey cub that's enough sleeping, if you keep sleeping you won't go to bed tonight." Harry says taking the baby from Ginny and bouncing him. He whines and opens his eyes blinking a couple of time. "Are you hungry Sev, we have some Wizard O's." Harry offers digging through the diaper bag looking for the bag of Wizard O's. Sev pays no attention to Harry and cranes his neck as he looks around. When he catches sight of Remus he freezes and quickly turns back to Harry. Harry positions him so he is facing the table and pours some Wizard O's on the table. Stay calm Sev it's just Remus. He can't hurt you. Harry won't let him hurt you. Don't pay attention to him and he doesn't even know who you are. Wait, no he knows. Harry told him. Okay still no big deal. Just keep calm. He's looking at you what do you do. Just act natural. What is natural for a baby. Give up Sev Harry told him everything, he knows you aren't just a normal baby. Oh god why is he still looking at me. Harry make it stop. Oh god what if he is planning to eat me. Oh no. Oh No. OH No. OH No!!!!! HARRY SAVE ME!!!!! Severus let's out a high pitch shriek. He continues to scream. Sev can feel tears coming to his eyes, and blood rushing to his face. Harry stands up and tries bouncing the baby. "Harry take him into the restroom." Ginny shouts over the screaming. Everyone in The Leaky Cauldron looks at their table. Harry quickly moves through the restaurant and into the bathroom. "Ok calm down, it's you and me Sev." Harry says to the baby. Sev looks around and stops screaming once he realizes that it was only him and Harry in the bathroom.

A/N: Hey guys please don't kill me I know it's been so long since I last updated. But I have been seeing the comments for me to update so here it is. I hope you liked it I will try to update more. Key word in that sentence TRY.  Anyway Sev and Remus have a dark history. Will this second chance allow him to move on from that past? Or the past with the other Marauders. So I hope you enjoy votes and comments mean the world to me and make me want to update.
