Chapter 15

"Ready or not, here I come!" Sally's high pitched voice shouts. I was currently hiding up in the tree that Sally was counting next too. Sneaky, I know. I watched as Sally began skipping around, looking for us. 'She'll never find me!' I thought, a victorious smile on my face.

"I wouldn't be so sure~!"

I groaned. 'What makes you think that?' I wondered. I heard an insane laugh echo in my head.

"You're not the only one in this tree~!"

I raised an eyebrow. What? I looked around and saw nothing. I was about to question her again, when I heard a loud sneeze. It was heard from above me. Quietly, I began advancing more up the tree. "Who's there?" I whispered.

"Oh! H-Hey, Trinity!" I heard a loud crack and saw Toby on a branch. He was sitting on it with his feet dangling under him. "Toby? What are you doing in my hiding spot? Go somewhere else!" I whispered shouted. "I can't! M-Masky didn't let m-me hide with him a-and Hoodie! I got n-no where else t-to go!" He whines. I sighed in defeat.

"Fine, but you better stay quiet." I said, narrowing my eyes at him. He nods his head fast. "O-Okay!" He says. Rolling my eyes, I pushed the branches of leaves out of my way, so that I could see better out of the tree.

'Hm? Where did Sally go?' I wondered. I paled once I saw that she had already found Masky and Hoodie. 'Damn she's good.' I thought. "Where are you?" I heard Sally cooed. I inwardly shuddered. Little girls can be scary as hell at times.

Suddenly, I felt a presence behind me. I felt a cold breath go against my neck. "What a-are you d-doing?" I heard a whispered voice in my ear. I jumped at the sudden sound and almost fell out of the tree. I felt a pair of arms catch me in time. "I g-got you!" Toby said proudly. I rolled my eyes. "Yes, I can see that." I said. He chuckles awkwardly and let's me go.

Hm, I'm surprised that this tree branch can hold both of us-

SNAP

My eyes widened at the sound. Oh shit. The branch that Toby and I was on, snapped in half. We both fell through the tree and onto the ground. I groaned and sat up, rubbing my aching head. Toby was laying on his back next to me.

'Shit! I got to get out of here before Sally f-'

"Found you!" A high pitched voice said from behind us. I groaned and turned around to see Sally smiling at us. Masky and Hoodie was behind her. "Yay! I win!" Sally sequels and jumps up and down. I laughed and stood up, brushing off the grass that was on me.

I walked over to Sally and ruffled her long, brown hair. "Good job, Sally!" I say. She giggles.

Masky sighed and said, "Toby's fault?" I nodded. "Figures. That was mostly why I didn't want him to hide with us." Masky said. I raised an eyebrow. "But you got found first." I say. He didn't say anything. "Come on Hoodie." Masky says. Hoodie nods and follows Masky.

"Sorry, T-Trinity." I heard Toby say. He was now standing next to me. I chuckled. "It's fine." I say. He nods and follows Masky and Hoodie. I laughed as I saw Toby poking Masky on the shoulder repeatedly.

'What a weird trio.' I thought, amused.
