Leo-1992
I wake up to someone calling me. Its Johnny. I get dressed and head over to his place. At 30 he is somewhat of a father figure to me, but he is mostly a friend.
It is late in the afternoon, almost night. I don't expect him to be making eggs and bacon like he just woke up. Then I see a blonde girl in her underwear sitting at the kitchen table, a little dried blood under her nose. Cocaine. I hope Lily didn't partake in that last night. I know Johnny did. There is meaningless conversation thrown around between Johnny and I, Johnny and the girl, Shannon, and Shannon and I. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. Thinking it might've been another one of Johnny's conquests I was surprised when I saw Lily. Her shirt grazed the very tops of her thighs, almost at risk of exposing herself.
My thoughts race back to the night a few weeks ago. Its blurry but I remember the feeling. Hot, intense, the curves of her body are imprinted in my hands and I can still feel her skin against mine. So soft. She's a year younger than me, 18. Beautiful. I look over at her and her eyes dart over to Johnny to avoid my gaze. I run my hands through my hair and sigh, not loud enough for people to hear. Why can't I just pick up the courage to talk to her again. I'm an idiot. I only wish that night could be replayed again and again. Lily goes and watches tv until mumbling a few words and walking back upstairs, I'm assuming to change. Why not follow her up?
"Johnny uh, I think I forgot a shirt of mine here a few nights again I'm gonna head up and get it" He doesn't even look up from Shannon, engulfed in conversation.I go upstairs, brush my hair out of my face and knock on Lily's door, the first one on the right.
"One sec Johnny I'll be right there" she calls, her voice a symphony to my ears.
"It's me, actually." I hear nothing. As I turn to leave, assuming she doesn't want to talk she opens the door.
"What, Leo. What do you want." I get distracted. Her eyes, fierce. "We aren't friends. I'm only dealing with you because of Johnny. And also, that night, it never happened."
My heart sinks. "Of course. I just, uh," I'm struggling for words, "I wanted to make sure you were okay from last night."
"Yeah. I'm fine."
She walks past me, her hair a wonderful scent, smelling vaguely of coconuts, her ass, even when wearing a jean skirt I can see it bouncing. God the things I would do. Bend her over, tear her shirt off, pull that skirt up and-
"LEO!" Shannon is running up the stairs. Dammit.
"Hey Shannon, are you coming with us today?" A formality, I hate formalities.
"Actually I have to go pick up my son so I can't!"
A son? Holy shit.
