The next few nights with Axel were fairly normal they'd say goodnight to each other and go to sleep,but tonight was different. Sage had gotten up to get something to eat. She walked to the kitchen,gotten a bag of chips and was about to go back to her room when she heard the most bone chilling, blood curdling,ear splitting, scream coming from Axel's room. She ran to his room as fast as she could,"AXEL? ARE YOU OK?" He didn't answer and this scared sage even more. She opened the door to find Axel...asleep. He was screaming in his sleep. "Must've had a bad dream" she thought but then he screamed again this time he sounded like he was in pain. "Axel wake up!" He didn't budge, she then got an idea,she went back to the kitchen and filled a pitcher with cold water,she then went back to Axel and poured the pitcher over his head. Axel jumped out of bed and landed face first onto the floor. "WHAT THE HELL?" He yelled,"you were screaming in your sleep I wanted to help you." He looked up at her in pure confusion,"screaming? What are you talking about?" "Yeah I was in the kitchen and I heard you scream. "Well I'm fine" sage only nodded and walked back to her room and as if on cue,Axel started screaming again. She ran back but this time,he was awake. His usually white eye was bright red and the blue one was dripping a black substance. She also noticed in between screams he was mumbling some sort of gibberish."esrevinu siht ni teg lliw uoy lla si gnireffus." Sage had panicked at this point and ran back to get more cold water...what a mistake. This time when she poured the water over him he just stared at her. He stared for what seemed like hours but it could've been 3 seconds sage was frozen. Finally Axel spoke again in gibberish " nurter lliw ssenkrad eht." Then he stood up he seemed taller and skinnier. He was like a sky scraper next to a bush. Then he fell on top of her,she propped him on her shoulder and looked at him,he was out cold. She poked him lightly "Axel wake up please" he slowly woke and peacefully "oh hey babe,what's up?" She shuddered at the sudden nickname. ("Why would he call me that? Does he?...no he wouldn't... Would he?") "Um Axel what did you just call me?" He looked up at the girl very confused "whatcha mean kiddo?" She shrugged she figured that he was just tired and he always had a nickname for her though usually it was "kiddo" or "doll". "Um n-nevermind Axel,you just said an odd nickname,goodnight buddy."she then slowly got Axel to his bed, as soon as his head was on the pillow he curled into a ball and pulled the blanket over his head. ("Geez Axel,how tired are you??") She then walked out of the room and back to hers. "he looked so peaceful when he woke up,still what nightmare could be so bad that he started...I don't even know what happened." Just to be sure, Sage checked on him 5 times the rest of the night.(this chapter is shorter than the first one but oh well.)
