Anna woke next Saturday to the sound of a strange noise, it sounded like wheezing. It was a noise that Anna had never heard before. She sat up her bed, her eyes were still readjusting to the lighting.
When Anna's eyes had fully adjusted she saw a blue squared shaped object at the center of the floor. It was twice the size of her bed. When did that get there. There was a light on the top, which illuminated her room.
Anna got out of her bed and walked up to the blue box. She put her hand on it, it felt like wood. There was a sign that read something that Anna couldn't understand. She saw a handle that was on what looked like a door. She tried pulling the handle, but found it locked.
Anna backed away. She knocked on the door.
She waited a moment.
The door opened revealing the Doctor in overalls. He looked down at Anna. "Well about time you woke up." He said with a frown.
Anna looked at the clock. "It's 4:00 in the morning." She said rubbing her eyes.
"Well of course it is." The Doctor said. "Don't want your parents to wake up and see a big blue box in your room." The Doctor said as if it was so simple.
Anna raised an eyebrow. "Well what are you doing in my room?" Anna asked putting her hand on her hips. "More to the point, what is this?" She gestured to the blue box that the Doctor was standing in.
"It's where I live." He said.
"What?"
"Last week you asked where I live, this is it." He said.
Anna was so confused. "I don't understand, why do you live in a small box, and how did it get to my room?"
The Doctor smiled. "Well why don't you come and see." He opened the door.
What Anna saw was impossible.
She walked slowly into the blue box. It was a large room, the walls were made of metal, stairs that lead to a set of metal panels. A glass tube went through the set of panels and straight to the roof where there were three clock looking gears with inscriptions on them. Anna spun in a circle looking at the large room.
This was impossible.
"Go on." The Doctor said.
Anna looked to him. She ran to the door.
She was back in her room. She looked back at the blue box, she moved along the sides looking for a wall, she didn't find one. She circled the blue box following the edges, until she was back at the doorway. She stepped back inside.
"It's bigger on the inside." She said in amazement.
The Doctor snapped his fingers and pointed at Anna. "Exactly." He said. "But if you think this is all, your wrong." He turned walking up the stairs to the panels. "It has over 10,000 rooms inside it, maybe even more. My favourite is the swimming pool."
"Swimming pool?" Anna said curiously.
The Doctor turned back to her and paused for a moment. "Right uh, forget I said that."
He turned to the panels and leaned on them. Anna followed him and looked around.
"I don't believe this." She said. She then turned to the Doctor. "How did you get this in my room?"
"Well first of all, this..." He said patting the panels hard. "Is called the Tardis."
"Tardis?"
"Yes, Tardis. It can go anywhere in time and space." He then lifted his hands in the air. "So, where to."
Anna thought for a moment, but realised something. "Wait, what if my parents notice I'm gone."
"They wont, we can be back right after we leave. Time machine remember."
Time of course.
"I know where I want to go."
Anna and the Doctor looked through a window at the castle. They saw a little Anna playing dolls with younger Elsa.
"Why here?"
Anna looked up at the Doctor. "What do you mean?" She asked.
"Out of all of time and space, you chose a moment where you play dolls with your sister." He said. "Seems a bit, simple. And simple is not my sort of thing."
Anna looked back to the younger version of herself. "Because these were some of the last few times I got to spend with my sister, before... before she shut me out."
The Doctor gave her a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry." He said. "Truly I am."
"It's ok." Anna smiled, she looked up at the Doctor. "Now I have you."
The Doctor looked down at her and smiled.
"Here." Anna said taking his hand. "Hold out your pinky."
The Doctor rolled his eyes and knelt down. He held out his pinky, Anna did the same. They interlocked.
"Friends forever." She said.
"Friends forever." The Doctor said back.
The door opened and Anna walked out of the Tardis. "I cant believe it." She said looking at the clock. "Only a minute after we left." The Doctor followed her out into her room. "Yep, one of the plus sides of having a time machine." Anna looked back at him. "Thank you, for everything."
The Doctor smiled. "Next Saturday?"
"Next Saturday." Anna agreed.
The Doctor waved goodbye and walked back into the Tardis. Anna watched as it slowly faded away into nothingness, making the same noise she had heard before.
Once the Tardis was fully gone, Anna walked back to her bed and laid down.
She closed her eyes, trying to think what in the world a swimming pool could be.
