Okay, let's start with books in the category of romance.
I mean, the female character is always harassed in some way by her parents, bullies or friend.
The parents (if there are parents) are either letting her stay home late at night (overnight for like A DECADE!) while they're off getting drunk, abusing her (SOMETIMES SEXUALLY!) or/and kicking her out of the house.
That's when the big bad boy (the main boy she is bound to end up with) saves her a$$ and they date.
LIKE WHAT?! SHE EVEN ENDS UP MEETING HIM THE FIRST DAY (CHAPTER)! These are how a lot of books are.
It's annoying. Boys can be harmed too and maybe a girl can save them. (BY MAYBE I MEAN YES. YES, A GIRL CAN PROTECT A BOY)
