Damon's P.O.V.

Elena and Rick dragged me with them to Isobel's old office to look for anything useful about Mason Lockwood, we were thinking that the Lockwood's were werewolves. I left Veronica with enough food and vervain and wolfs bane flavoured  water until I got back. I still hadn't told Stefan about her so I just had to hope that he wouldn't go down to the basement. I doubted that he would because he could of been tempted to drink blood and become the Ripper again and I knew he didn't want that.

"Damon listen to this," I heard Rick call. I didn't answer but he continued as he noticed me coming towards him. "It says that werewolves and vampires used to run freely until a shaman put a curse on them. Since then werewolves can only turn on a full moon and vampires can't walk in the sun."

Before I could reply Vanessa, Isobel's assistant began to speak, "It also says that a werewolf bite is fatal to a vampire."  "Oh great," I thought to myself. "Another way for me to die."

Veronica's P.O.V.

I woke up in my cell, hopefully for the last the time and noticed a tray with a two litre bottle of water which smelt of vervain and some other herb I didn't know and about five bags of crisps. When I looked at the door a second time I noticed a note to it. The note read:

Little Hunter,

I have some business to take care of today and Rick is coming with me so you'll be by yourself today. As you can see I left you food and water so you want starve or dehydrate. I'll be back.

D.S.

That note made me smile as it meant that Stefan's plan was working. I was going to be getting out of that miserable cell which I had started to think I'd spend the rest of my life in there. I drank all of the water since I actually like the taste of vervain and that other herb wasn't that bad either.

When I finished drinking the whole one litre bottle, I heard someone lightly running down the stairs into the basement. I presumed it was Stefan and it was. He looked at me through the gap in the door before opening the door and letting me out.

"Thanks," I said to Stefan as I walked out of the cellar. "Oh, do you have a pen?" I asked him. He seemed confused by my question but answered it anyway.

"Yeah," he answered. "Why do you need a pen?" he asked as I grabbed the pen out of his hand.

"I don't want to leave Damon without saying goodbye. That would just be pure rude, wouldn't it?" I said sarcastically as wrote on the note just under where Damon signed it. Stefan laughed as I did so.

I wrote: Thanks for the food and drink it was yummy but I think I prefer the Mystic Grill's food. Oh and don't miss me too much. - V.M.(Little Hunter)

"Thanks, now I can go," I said cheerfully after I put the note back on the tray and I handed Stefan back his pen.

"You know you can't go back home," Stefan told me as I was walking up the basement stairs. That made me stop and walk back over to him full of rage.

"What do you mean I can't go back home!" I shouted at him. I did feel bad after since he did let me out of the cell and was probably looking out for me, when he said not to go back home.

"If Damon goes looking for you the first place he will go is where he took you from. It won't take him long to find you again. You'll be safer if you and your family move somewhere else," he explained.

"I don't have a family. It's just me but I won't go back. There's nothing keeping me there anyway," I told him, lying about not having anything to go back to. I could tell by his face that he pitied me but I was in no humor to talk about my horrible past.
