As they were walking, she had a big smile on her face. Something she hasn't had in a long time, since the incident. 

"Where are we going, Brandon?" She asked her tall boyfriend.
"Its a surprise, babe." He replied with a small smile.

They soon arrived at the bar.

"We're just gonna chill out a little, alright? I know you've been a little tense lately." He told her.
"Okay.." She replied, her smile fading a little bit. She was fine with a few drinks, but they weren't a good memory...

"Don't worry, if someone tries to hit on you, I'll scare them off!" He joked.
The small brunette laughed along slightly, "okay Mr. Strong Guy."

His head was looking down while his feet kicked small rocks as he walked down the familiar path.
The wind blew strongly, making him shiver slightly.
Moments of him and her flashed in his head.

It was his fault this all happened.
It was his fault that a month ago she had multiple tears streaming down her face.
It was his fault that he agreed to go to a bar, which resulted in him being drunk and making the mistake he regretted.
It was his fault that he hurt her like nobody did before.
It was his fault.

He sighed. He had to get his mind off of her. Then the perfect place to go appeared in front of him. The bar.
But it wasn't the best idea. Because there was Britt and her new boyfriend there, laughing about something together.
She looked happier with him than when her and Ben were together.

"I'll just act like they aren't there.." He mumbled to himself. He walked in, ordered his usual, then sat down in the corner a few seats from the two.

There were only a few people there; him, Britt and Brandon, and a guy who looked around Ben's age by himself.

He sipped his drink slowly until it was finished, then he went to the restroom. As he went out, he bumped into a small figure.

"Britt." He said slowly.

"B-Ben. Uh h-hi." She stuttered and looked up, their eyes meeting each other.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Ben broke the silence, "you probably hate me. I know. But just know.. I'm so sorry. Really. I hope you forgive me one day, but I get it if you don't becaus-"

She cut him off by pressing her soft lips against his. He got taken by surprise, but melted into it slowly.
She put her arms around his neck as they kissed, and he placed his hands on her back, pulling her closer, so their bodies were pressed together, and their lips were moving in sync.
After a few moments, they pulled away for air.

"I broke up with Brandon, by the way." She stated with no emotion on her face.

"W-Why?" He was shocked.

"I'm still in love with you." She replied, a smile creeping on her face.

"Really?" Ben grinned and kissed her again.
Soon they pulled away, then Britt replied,

"I never stopped."

not what you expected huh ;) the song happier doesn't really have a happy ending but this one shot does so yayay hope you enjoyed! :))
