"I love you. Goodnight." He whispered and kissed his beautiful girlfriend, Brittany, on the forehead, who fell asleep during the movie they were watching.

They were on the couch, with her petite body on his, her arms wrapped around his neck, her head rested on his shoulders, and his hands on her back in a comfortable position.
He soon drifted to sleep, with peaceful thoughts and dreams of him and his girlfriend.

He sighed as he thought back to when they were always cuddled together, inseparable. He missed her. When he was at a red light, he remembered another memory.

There was a sudden creak at Ben's door, late at night. Because the power was out, he couldn't see who it was.

"B-ben?" A small voice called.

"Britt?" He sat up in his bed, half asleep. "Are you okay?"

"C-Can I sleep beside you?" She stuttered.

"Sure, come here," he replied, making a spot for her beside him, "what happened?"

She went over and slipped into the warm blanket, right beside Ben, and she placed her head lightly on the pillow, facing him.

He pulled her closer before she answered, "I hate the dark."

He chuckled softly as he heard her annoyed tone.

"It's alright, you're with me now, don't worry." He smiled, even though they couldn't see each other clearly.

"Thanks," she blushed, "goodnight. And thanks for letting me stay here. My parents will appreciate it."

"No problem. Goodnight," he kissed her forehead lightly, "I love you."

A few moments later he heard a soft reply,
"I love you more."

As Ben parked in his driveway, he saw an unknown sliver car in one of the parking spots.
He got out of his car and unlocked his door. There was a purple pair of shoes at his doorstep.
Before he could think about who's those were, he heard a familiar voice.

"Surprise!"

"B-Britt?! What are you doing here?" He dropped his stuff and ran up to her, lifting her off the ground as he hugged her.

"I decided to surprise you!" She replied after Ben put her down, with a big smile on her face. "I missed you!"

"I missed you too!" He exclaimed.

She took his hand and walked with him to his kitchen.

This was their lives. And it was perfect.
