Chapter 2- The Dreaded Party

Winters POV

"Do I really have to go Lyn?" I pleaded.

"You promised yesterday so yes you do." she retorted.

"Fine" I said with my best puppy dog face.

"That's not going to work on me. I'll be at your house at 7 to get ready."

I ignored her and walked towards my next class, algebra. My journey didn't last long as I suddenly ran into something and fell down, dropping my books. Right before I hit the ground, a pair of arms wrapped around my torso pulling me back up to my feet. I looked towards the persons face, about to apologize, when I realized who was holding me.

Luca, the "bad boy" of our school, currently had his arms wrapped around my waist and was staring into my eyes.

"Sorry" he simply said, letting go of me.

"No, no I'm really sorry it was my fault. I should've been looking at where I was going, not at the ground. I'm so sorry. Don't wo-" he suddenly cut me off.

"You're rambling"

"Oh, sorry"

"You say sorry a lot, don't you?" he asked.

"Yea, sometimes. Sorry"

"There you go again. Well I'm going now, see ya"

I couldn't believe what had just happened. Luca had saved me, held me, stared into my eyes, and apologized. No ones ever heard him apologize before, ever. I'm in deep shit.

I continued on my way to algebra. The bell rang right after I walked in and the teacher gave me her look that basically means "hurry up and sit down before I kick you out of my class". So I hurriedly sat down in my seat, in the back of the classroom.

Normally I like to sit in the front of the class, but this class is different. My teacher, Vicki, yells so loud that it makes my ears cringe.

Suddenly everyone stopped talking, even Vicki. I tried to see what everyone was looking at only to see Luca and his friends, Aiden and jaiden walk in. I didn't even know we had this class together, he never shows up. He slowly walked to the back of the classroom, where I was, and sat in the seat next to me. Of course, the one class I choose to sit in the back of.

He seemed to stare at me for a couple minutes and then looked away, not saying anything.

Well that was strange

My conscious is so helpful sometimes... not.

I tried to focus on what the teacher was saying for the rest of the class. Not soon enough, the bell rang and I rushed to lunch to meet up with Brooklyn.

"Hey there stranger" I greeted her.

"Don't 'hey stranger' me you traitor" she retorted.

"What did I do now oh powerful one?"

"The whole school is talking about you and Luca and you didn't think to tell me?!" She yelled.

"Okay first of all, I was in class so I couldn't tell you. And second of all, nothing really even happened. I ran into him, he caught me, we apologized, end of story" I calmly explained to her.

"Fine, don't tell your best friend what really happened, I don't care anyways"

"Stop exaggerating, I'm telling you the truth you weirdo"

"If you say so"

Our other friends finally showed up to the table, late as usual. Our friend group consists of Paris, Nicholas, Anthony, Tabitha, Max, and James.

Brooklyn has long brown hair with blue eyes. Paris is a blonde haired beauty, any guy would love her. Nicholas is about 6 feet tall with brown hair and green eyes. Anthony is about 6'3 with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. Tabitha is beautiful as well with long brown hair and green eyes. Max is beautiful with long dirty blonde hair in which she dyes often. Last but not least James who is about 6'2 with dark brown hair and dark eyes, which I can't really tell the color of. I love all of my friends and we've been together since elementary school.

Everyone was currently talking about the party tonight that I would, sadly, be attending. Too soon, lunch was over and everyone went to their classes. All I could think of the rest of the day was that stupid party.
