I lean against my warm locker, kicking my foot up and pressing it against the bottom on. " Okay now what's this ' idea' you're talking about?" I question fluffing up my hair. He points at me, and gives me a smile.
" Okay, my plan starts with you." He says. I stare at him and cut him off, putting my hand up.
" Wait, me?" I question. He shakes his head as people make their way to their after school clubs. He shrugs his shoulders and smirks at me softly as he starts to cross his arms. He leans against a locker, licking his lips softly.
" What's your name?" He questions. I move my hair out of my eyes and suck down a breath, this is usually a question you ask before you kiss someone. I shrug and exhale, looking down at the floor.
" Patty." I whisper. He smiles and shrugs, walking down the hall and turning around, starting to go the other way.
" So I'm thinking Patty, maybe we can pretend to be a couple." He says. I stare at him and lift one of my eyebrows up.
" Pretend?" I question. Is he being serious? He can't be serious, this is the weirdest thing I have ever heard. He shakes his head and smiles at me.
" Yes, no strings attached. We just act like a couple at school, then when we go home we carry on with or normal lives. You can do whatever you what and it's just to keep people away from us, if you start to like someone we'll pretend to get in a huge fight and break up." He explains. I stare at him as I close my mouth shut.
" Fine." I whisper. It sounds simple enough and I'm sick of everyone anyway. He grabs my hand softly, walking me around as he smiles brightly, gliding his tongue across his teeth. He looks over at me and coughs a little.
" I promise, it's just to keep people away." Matt says putting his hand on his chest. I shake my head as I exhale and repeat myself.
" Fine, I'll be you're fake girlfriend." I say clearly. He grabs my hand quickly as he smiles at me shrugging.
" Okay this should be easy, all you have to do is follow my lead. Think as if I'm your dream boyfriend, as if you've been wanting me forever." He says pursing his lips. I shake my head as he smiles. " We'll have to keep this up for people to believe us." Matt says slipping his hand into mine.
I give a fake smile, setting my head on his shoulder, just to really get the feeling that we're a " couple". I feel his face spread into a smile as he sets his hand on the top of my head, softly running his fingers through my hair, and slides it back into mine. I keep up with his steps, watching two men run at me suddenly, as I jump grabbing his arm.
I feel my stomach twist as the stop right in front of us, giving up a big smirk. " Whoa! Matt, who's the new girl?" The blond one asks. Matt gives a smile, brushing his tongue across his bottom lip and running his fingers through his hair.
" She's my little game." He answers. His words glide effortlessly out of his mouth as I hide my face in my hair. I don't do good with people, I never have so I tend to avoid contact with everyone. The man stares at my hair, trying to find my eyes' as he moves it out of the way.
" Dude, is she goth? Matt, goth just isn't your type." The man says rudely. I bite my lip and exhale, grabbing my pants tightly as I feel him tap the top of my head. " Hey, are y-" I cut him off, looking up violently as I hear my neck crack, stomping my foot.
" Just because I have black hair and am shy doesn't make me goth!" I scream. I suck down a breath staring at his attire and tighten my shaking fist. " You have high tops, so are you a gangster! Huh!?" I scream. I start at him, feeling my heart beat inside my chest as all three of them stare at me.
