I Don't Like My Mind Anymore

1- I Am Only A Test

I jerk up on my metal bed, screaming in pain from the shock my collar is giving off.
Oh, so it was another dream. Should've guessed.
The shock stops a few seconds after I wake up, then a male's voice comes from a security camera in the corner of my room.
"Good morning, Nadine. Ready for more testing?"
"Oh fuck off, K..." I reply, already angry at just hearing his voice.
"Now now, that's no way to talk to the person who could easily take your life with one of their machines, is it?"
A door opens in the room, I sigh, annoyed already, and walk out reluctantly.
K is waiting for me on the other side.
"Today we will be testing your capacity for pain again, and how much you can take before you die."
I sigh again. "So I'm taking that as you're bored and want to cut off my head again to check if my 'pain capacity has changed.'"
He doesn't reply, which is pretty much his way of confirming it. He leads me to a giant machine that I've seen before. It has a metal bed and a giant saw on a hook above it. I don't get on it. I just stand there. One of the voices in my head yells at me for it.
"Why are you just standing there?! If you don't get on the machine, he'll shock you!"
As if I would care at this point.
I just stand there. K stares at me.
"Nadine. Get on the machine."
I just shake my head and continue standing there.
"Oh...? Hm. Well then. I suppose I could just do it the harder way."
He walks toward the desk he has next to the machine and picks up an axe that was leaning against it.
I don't even panic. I don't really give a fuck at this point. The axe is less painful in my opinion anyway.
K swings the axe at my neck and hits it, slicing my head completely off. Blood pours out of my neck, and I watch myself fall to the ground. Everything goes black and I hear K's voice before I fade completely.
"You dissapoint me, Nadine."
