Refresh man

CHAPTER 3

             The next morning, she wakes up and notes how bright it is. Because her friend had unplugged her phone, the battery died and her alarm didn't go off. She realizes she only has 30 minutes to get to work.  She checks to see if Austin is in yet, and is startled to realize that he got there early.  Lily comes out of the office, and politely asks Jane to pick up two sets of breakfast. She is also wearing the same exact outfit as yesterday. This causes Jane to jump to some questionable conclusions, but as she delivers the breakfast, she is shocked to find out that they two had actually stayed at the office all night to negotiate the contract with the Russian investors .

       She feels bad, but also upset that she wasn't notified of this, as the current chief secretary. She brings this up to Lily  and Austin, only to learn that they did try and contact her. Throwback to the night before when her friend picked up her phone. Mortified and feeling useless, she decides to resign. However, in his office, Austin notifies  Jane that she signed a contract stating that she cannot leave the company before the contract time is up without a breach fee. Austin Taylor creepily claims her as company property, and instead of firing her, decides to move her to the infamous Sales Team 3, much to Jane's displeasure.

          Again, he gets in her personal space, and repeats something she did to him in high school. Which is fine and all for two high school kids who don't know any better to allow. NOT FOR A PROFESSIONAL OFFICE RELATIONSHIP! Cue my eye roll up to heaven Jane makes her walk of shame to the Sales Team 3 office, which seems to be in an abandoned part of the building. This team is notoriously known as the cemetery for the talented and incinerator of MUSE. Basically if someone gets sent there, they don't come back. She enters the office to find a bustling work environment.

           As she looks around, she realizes things may not be as bad as she thought. However, as soon as she introduces herself, the facade falls away immediately. Apparently, that was just a fake routine used to make it look like they were hard at work. We see all the phone calls stop, and a worker even change her desktop to a webcam of her baby. Another takes out a sleeping mask and goes to sleep. UH!? How does this exist and how can I apply? Just kidding. Where are the security cameras? How is the company allowing this?

                      Jane is horrified at what she sees, and she is immediately put to work on changing lightbulbs and being in charge of getting lunch. This is her worst nightmare. Just then, we hear a click clack down the halls, and the office goes back into full swing fake phone answering and webcaming. Austin Taylor  walks in, still looking smug, with his new personal assistant Lily at his side. He makes an announcement that he will be personally monitoring this Sales Team to make sure that they are doing their best for the company.
