Harry drove us down to a restaurant. It was a little one, not really big, nor had many people inside. I don't mind though, the less people there are the less noise there is. Harry walked in after I did, and brought me towards a table, it was near the back and more in the corner. I felt like I couldn't be seen by anyone, it felt dark. I don't know why though.
"Harry, why did you choose this seat? I feel like I can't be seen."
"Do you want me to tell you about myself or not?"
"Yes."
"Okay then, let me pick the fucking seat."
I just stood there. I didn't say anything, I hung my head and didn't even bother picking it back up. This is why I didn't bother hanging around Harry. I turn around and start to head towards the door.
"Alex, where are you going?"
"I'm leaving. What does it look like I'm doing?"
"What, why?"
"Because you obviously don't want me here. I'm not going to sit here and take whatever you're serving. I'm not like everyone else. Most people will take it, it looks like everyone does, but news flash Harry I'm not everyone."
"I never said or thought you were everyone. I thought and am saying you are Alex. I don't want you to think you are everyone, because these days when your everyone you're usually a fuck up. All of those people I hang out with are fuck ups. I especially am the biggest fuck up there is. I probably wasn't born a fuck up but, from the looks of it I am going to die a fuck up."
"Stop Harry stop. I hate that language, I hate it so much. Stop using it around me. Use it with your messed up friends, use it around the whores you bring back to the dorm every night. Use it around your father, use it around your mother bu-"
"Don't you dare talk about my mother!"
"What she doesn't allow you to use that language around her." I say back. Gosh why did I agree to come here. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have said no and went to Starbucks or something.
"No. If you would just listen to what I have to say. Will you come and sit down?"
"Why Harry, so you can scream in my face, yell curse words at me?"
"No. My god, will you just sit down Alex?"
"Fine, Harry."
I walk back over and take a seat across from Harry. Sadly the seat across from Harry is touching the window. I know it's weird. I just never liked sitting next to a window, only in cars, and on planes, that's it.
"You going to tell me or make me just stay here?"
"Can we order and actually have dinner together?"
"Sure. I guess."
I look at the menu and notice everything is really grease or fatting. I look around and no one has walked in. I don't think this place is really known, maybe the only customers are their regulars. I don't like any specific place, except Starbucks.
I never had anywhere special to go to remember anything. I mean no dates to remember. I don't like making memories places because then it ruins the fun if you guys break up.
"What would you like Harry?" I hear a voice say. A voice I never heard before. I look up to see a woman if gray hair, maybe in her late forties, early fifties.
"I just want a coke, and a"
"I would just have a water thank you."
"Okay, I'll be back with those."
