"Dyeyo I get off at 2:30 so when I get home you and Emon need to be ready so we can go to the mall"

"Ok" he put his headphones back on and continued playing with his phone.

After work I got some gas and drove straight home.

"Mona come here please baby" my mom called soon as I walked in the house letting me know she was already drunk.

"Come lay with me" I sighed kicked of my shoes and laid in the bed next to her.

"You know I love you right and I know I'm not the best mother I just want better y'all I already lost child and got another in prison. Ima do better baby I promise ima stop with the drugs and alcohol." She continued crying into my chest eventually falling asleep. I got out the bed pulling ghee cover over her and walk other room to take a bath and get ready.

We got to the mall around 4 and the first store we walked in footlocker.

"Mona can I get these"Emon and Dyeyo said at the same time.

"Yeah go ask for your size and get these in a 7" they walked away after I handed them by card and I sat on the bench scrolling through my social media. I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned to see trell little sister, Ivy.

"Hey moe girl what you been doing I missed you!?!" she pulled me into a big hug.

"I missed you too girl, I ain't been doing nothing just working and clearing my mind" she gave me that some bullshit look but she didn't say anything.



"You know I'm here with trell right he over there" she pointed to trell who was look at the shoes not paying attention to us.

"Ohh that good" I said trying to sound uninterested

"Den go tell him then cause I'm sick of him walking around like a lost puppy" I sighed getting up walking over to him.

"Trell can I please speak to you?" He turned look and me then turned back around

"Tell me what now!?!? I'm sick and tired of you keeping all these damn secrets."
"Look I'll be at our spot at 8 we'll talk then "

"Alright trell" I looked at him one more time before walking over to were my brothers and his sister we're talking.

"I see you later Ivy" giving walking out with my brothers behind me. We continue shopping for about a hour then we left.

"What y'all wanna eat"

"Let's go to Fridays" Dyeyo said

"Nawll let's go to bay breeze" Emon said

" Well pick or we gone go home and y'all can make a sandwich"

"Alright we can go to Bay Breeze" Dyeyo said fast. I giggled and drove towards the restaurant.

Around 7:30 I dropped them off at home and headed to meet Trell. I pulled up at the cemetery and seen his car in the parking lot. I sat and braced myself for what I was about to tell him. After I build up enough courage I began walking to the plot that read 'Olivia Mason King' 1993-2015.



This is my older sister she was 22 when she passed away due to pregnancy complications. 'Jason Jacob James' her son,my nephew who was buried next to her who passed only 3 days after my sister due to his lungs collapsing.

"I miss them" I stated after a few minutes of silence

"Me too" he sighed "man Mona what been up with you"

"Alot, I got tell you something be I'm so scared I love you so much and ion wanna loss you, just promise you want be mad at me"
