Jade gave me the most confused and dark glare anyone could ever receive. If looks could kill, then I'd be dead.
"Come in guys," She motioned before closing the door behind us.
Harry's eyes were weary when he noticed that we knew each other. He raised his eyebrows but I nodded my head side to side to drop it.
He strolled into the living room and before I could follow him, a tight grip wrapped around my arm, yanking me back slightly.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" Jade whisper-yelled. The house was filled with at least 15 people, the lights were dimmed with music blasting and it wreaked of alcohol.
"Well you said you wanted me to come!" I jokingly defended myself. To be honest, this was completely my fault. I totally knew I was ditching Jade after Harry magically convinced my parents to let me go out with him. Sorry Jade, my curiosity got the best of me.
"I didn't even tell you where the house was! How did you get here? And who the hell is that?" She yelled while pointing to Harry, who was standing in the living room chatting it up with some blonde guy.
I pressed my fingers to my temples unsure of what to say.
"You need to explain some things," She huffed.
"Ok I didn't know you'd be here! Harry told me we were going to a friend's house and I didn't think it would a mutual friend. Second, I met him like four hours ago at the charity event I went to with my parents and third, will you please calm down?"
"Sorry, sorry. It's just, I'm so excited you're actually here! It feels like it's been weeks since we've been together, but I am sort of pissed that you were going to blow me off," She scolded but soon bursted into a squeal and hugged me.
I smiled and embraced her hug. Jade was very drunk and quite honestly, I was so thankful for that. If she was sober, she definitely would have been angrier at the fact that I was so quick to ditch her party and hang out with a guy I just met instead.
"C'mon!" She tugged me into the living room, "Everyone, this is my best friend Rosie! Rosie, this is everyone!"
"Wow, fantastic introduction Jade, really," I rolled my eyes. Only three people were really listening while the others were off in their own world.
"Sorry, I wouldn't exactly call myself sober right now!" She smiled.
I bit my tongue to prevent myself from laughing, "I couldn't tell."
She grabbed my forearm and whispered in my ear, "Rosie, seriously, who the hell is that guy? He's fucking hot."
Both of our eyes fell on Harry as he stood there with his arms crossed, a smile spread across his face as he laughed at someone's joke. I quickly looked away so he wouldn't catch the both of us staring at him like he caught me staring in the car.
"He's kind of an asshole," I shrugged, "But there's something weird about him that I'm drawn to," I explained to Jade.
Jade laughed again, "Good weird I assume? Are you going to hook up with him? You totally should."
I almost choked, "Absolutely not! Jade, he's the son of my dad's boss. Even if I wanted to, that's a bad business idea. I need a job after I graduate."
She whispered close to my ear, "Fuck him and you'll definitely get the job."
I swatted Jade away, "Jade fuck off! You know I'd never do that."
"Your loss, Rosie. A job and some good di-" She smirked and then suddenly got pulled away by god knows who. I stood awkwardly in the middle of the room scanning for her but had no such luck. I noticed Harry sitting on the couch directly across from me, watching me intently.
