It was sunset . I see Ivy just laid her head against the window . I turn the car where there was a huge gate. I stop the car and looked at her while she stood up and looks scared. " this place " she said . " What if it wasn't a dream , what if it was real" I said. she just starred at me. I get off the car and so does she. I saw the no trans passing sign . " Haze!" yelled ivy. I turn . I came to her . she point in the ground. it was my other shoe. I pick it up. " I woke up with only one on "I said. " It wasn't a dream" said Ivy . we look at each other then started to climb the fence . Finally we reached the otherside. it was really dark now Ivy grasps a flash light from her back pocket. " where are we heading?" asked Ivy. " towards the woods that the last time I remember wen I woke up" I said. we walked inthe huge field leading towards the woods. the flashlight turns off. " shit " said Ivy trying to turn it on . she started shaking it. She throw it in the floor. "I guess we have to keep walking". the battery felt off . when me and Ivy walked three steps away the light started lighting. we both turn and look at each other , and then to the flashlight. it started turning on and off but then completely on with more light. I bend down to see in close. I saw that the batteries weren't there. my eyes widened. " keep walking " I said ."what?" said Ivy confused. " keep going" I said and walked away. " what's going on haze? " she asked. " the flash
light had no batteries" I said . her face was in fear." can we just look for Mara and leave this place"she said I nodded. "mars!" Ivy started yelling . "mars where you at?" " hear branches moving . Ivy got close to me. I started getting closer where I heard it . " What are you doing?" ask Ivy pulling back. " stay here" I replied.
