CHAPTER TWELVE

Manik took the pendrive and put it on the laptop.
He was watching the ppt....her hard work...her efforts.

The ppt was going on the screen, he was looking at the screen but his mind was somewhere else...

He was sad...he was feeling miserable.

Then his phone buzzed with an reminder. He took his phone from the table and glanced over it.

Then he saw that it was the reminder for the meeting...

Reminder: Meeting with singhania @2pm

He heavily sighs and puts his both hands on his forehead, closes his eyes and then another shock for him...

He saw Nandini's face again

He open his eyes immediately...
His mouth was completely opened...

He couldn't understand himself, his behavior...

While he was thinking all of this, basically his confused life, the door of his cabin opened and there appeared our cabir.

Cabir:"Hey Manik!! The meeting is going to start in 20 mins..so...where is the presentation???"

As he just finished, Manik head shot up at him... He was just staring at him blankly....

His mind was preoccupied
What he did?
What will be Nandini's reaction?

How will he face her hurt face??

Cabir shakes him a bit...

Cabir:"Man--are u alright???"

Manik:"Ya buddy--i m perfectly alright..... Its just that i m little tensed about this meeting"

Cabir:"Don't worry buddy, you will do great!!! "

Manik smiles a bit.

Cabir:"Acha ab woh ppt kaha hai.. We should go"

Manik looks down and pretends to be concentrated on his phone.

Manik(nervously) :"Woh maine yeh ppt Nandini ko di thi...I mean she is....talented and--and--

Cabir completes his line
Cabir:"Hardworking, right???"

Manik just nods his head positively.

Cabir:"I know man....she is such a nice girl..and i know she will do great on the ppt"

This line made Manik to drawn on pool of guilt...

So to cut this out he said:"I should inform her then, to bring the ppt"

He messaged her to bring the pendrive.
After he messaged her, he left his phone on the table, far away from him, as if the phone was the one who messed up all the thing.

While on the other side Nandini read the message and starts to find the pendrive....

She checks her bag and found her pendrive where she had saved her ppt
(well only she thought that)

She took the pendrive & was leaving her cabin but then thought to have a check on the ppt once again.... U know to reassure herself.

She puts it on her laptop and clicks on the drive and when it opens up, it was empty... No files were on the drive!!!!!

At that moment the whole world fell upon her.....
She was not crying or feeling sad, she was feeling horrified...
She was all blank on his face...
She was just staring at the screen and at the words No files are on this drive!
