"She's a pretty face , no one's gonna take that aw........ay fr-" my phone rang waking me up from my sweet sweet sleep ,
I knew who that ringtone belonged to so I quickly looked at the time 9:14am "uhhh too early" I sighed before picking up the call
"Wakey wakey sleepy head !!!!" Beth shouted through the phone
"Yeah you can also make sure I get deaf while trying to wake me up " I rubbed my ear and sat up and looked around my room to see all the unpacked boxes "Gosh stupid mornings ..why was waking up invented arrg"
"Yeah before you transfer your bad morning attitude to me I just called to wake you up so you would clean up your apartment lazy fish! " I heard sounds at the background but decided to ignore it remembering that she shared her apartment with Mark .....until they break up tho "and since I have to be the mother between the both of us its my duty to wake you up " she continued
"Are you coming over today ....sweetheart I miss you already " I tried saying that as romantic as I could but failed miserably at it
" dream on Lexi you're sorting your things out yourself ..my hands are already tired from helping you yesterday you may be my bestie / daughter but as a mother its also my obligation to help you learn how to sort your things yourself.... " she burst out laughing here "oh and Mark says hi "
"Yeah whatever don't try to change the topic here and the fact you're being a Mean donkey bleh i would pack myself " with that I ended the call and smiled to myself but that smile vanished as quickly as it came when I looked at my room and saw boxes littered everywhere
"Oh jeez now for the hard part" I stood up from the bed and went to the sitting room then I suddenly remembered that my new roommate was coming today and I had to at least try make the apartment presentable "stupid manners"
Somehow I had to do this ,I stood at the middle of the sitting room and said in the most dramatic and authoritative way I can " boxes disperse and arrange yourselves I command " ........
.....
....
NOTHING......
Well it was worth a try ,I brushed my teeth and had my bath and came back into the sitting room to start sorting things out
One hour gone ...
...
Two hours gone .....
....
But I wasn't done yet ,but I made progress , I remembered that I haven't had breakfast yet so I went into the kitchen which was totally empty by the way
mental note to self go for a grocery shopping unless you would die of starvation
I opened the cabinet and saw orange juice , bread with eggs and some other stuff Beth dropped off while murmuring something about her being the big sister here and helping me stay alive and sane ,she could be a bit dramatic sometimes but I still love her
After making an omelet I decided to eat it with the bread and orange juice, while I ate I picked up my phone to call my mum to see how she was doing
She picked up after the the third ring "hi dearie"
"Hi mum how're you?"
"Fine sweetie ,so how is your apartment ?"
I took a second to look around the apartment before answering"comfortable enough "
"Sweetheart I wish I could help you bu..."
"Its ok mum ,its not your fault " I said cutting her off ,the sadness in her voice was visible although it has been nine years since my dad left her and she wished that she could provide more for me and grandma
"I know but I just wish that I could help more "a tiny bit of pain was still evident in her tone
" never mind mum ,you just have to take care of grandma for me ,especially now that she needs it the most " I made sure I sounded strong for her sake and for my sake too
"I would and you make sure to take care of yourself too and be a good girl and ...."
"I'm nineteen Mum... I can handle it "I rolled my eyes and smiled inwardly, sometimes she still treats me like I'm seven

"Bye mum,love you" and with that she ended the call
Sometimes I just wish that dad never left ,he always made mum so happy and with him gone it was just her to bear all the pain alone not to talk of bills ,I was young when it happened
I was just ten , it was a beautiful afternoon my mum and I were in the sitting room , she was still young and beautiful and yeah before I forget her hair was in a messy bun and man trust me when I say she rocks a messy bun like a boss
She was telling me stories while she brushed my hair to pass time ,them suddenly someone knocked and mum went to know who it was and being the nosy child I was I tagged along
When we opened the door a lady who looked slightly younger than mum stood there looking all flushed and angry , she was about the same height with mum but mum was prettier and obviously older but she was heavily built in the right places
"Hi what can we do for you " mum said with a smile although I knew she was clearly surprised because she wasn't expecting anyone
"You can tell Bright to come and get his baby " she said pointing to her stomach which I didn't notice before was big ,I was shocked but my mum was practically frozen on the spot
She gave us an impatient look"Didn't you hear m-"
Knock knock!!
I was brought back to reality from my little daydream "come in!" I said while standing up and dusting my clothes
The door opened, a girl who is about the same age with me stood by the door , she had black hair and was also an inch taller than me ,she had a cute smile and was dressed in blue jeans and a tank top
"Hi I'm Courtney ,your new roommate!"

I did it! ,I never planned updating today because I had a lot of chores ,but yes I did it
oh well as usual wait for the next chapter , i am still trying to find the right description for the characters so for now have fun using your imagination , don't forget to vote and comment ,I would update as much as I can now I'm on holidays , so yeah have fun and try not to die
