"Wow"
I thought to myself, Courtney was stunning prettier than she looked in pictures, she stood there smiling deep down I felt like she would make an awesome roomate
"Hey Courtney I'm Alexander but most people call me Lexi nice to finally meet you " I said to her extending my hands for a handshake ,
she looked at my hand briefly before taking it in hers and giving me a firm hand shake
"with an I or a Y?" She asked, it took me a moment to realize she meant my name
"Oh an I" I said giving her a small smile , I open the door wider for her to see and step out of the way ,as she goes in slowly scanning the living room which still had boxes some still closed some halfway packed while some unpacked and already empty , her eyes scanning everything and taking it in
"Welcome to our messy abode my lady " I say while giving a little bow
She smiles and nods her head "we sure do have a lot to do , can you help me with my boxes please "

"I thought we'd never be done " Courtney said to me as we sat in the living room looking at our accomplishment , we were finally done with everything the unpacking and cleaning .
Courtney was a very fun person to be with which I found out while we were unpacking , she told me a lot of things about herself and her family she had a brother who graduated recently and was currently working in a law firm he was older than her with 4 years and according to her he was quite smart , her parents were still together and to me it looked like her family was a textbook example of a perfect family , I told her my parents were separated and how my mum was the one taking care of my grandma , but I told her so much about Beth and how awesome Beth is and that I'd introduce the both of them to each other soon I was sure Beth would love Courtney
"Wanna watch a movie?" Courtney asked holding up a CD that had forbidden love written on it with red and a picture of a man making out a woman infront
"Wow I never knew you loved horror movies so much " I said sarcasm oozing out of the statement
"Ok..... I'm a sucker for romance what are you into?" She asked while I was heading into the kitchen to look for anything edible
"I watch anything honestly but I sure do love horror movies and suspense the most " I said while looking into the cabinets and refrigerator for anything , I saw some cans of soda and a packet of chips that Beth must have dropped off "that'll do" I thought out loud while grabbing them and heading to the sitting room .
Beth had already put the CD in and paused it and also brought a blanket "movie night !!!" I said while lifting the chips and soda,
We both sat on the couch facing the television with the snacks in between us the blanket was big enough to cover us both and she pressed play and the movie began .
Halfway through the movie we were done with the snacks already and I was so focused on the movie to understand why Diego would cheat on his loving wife with his gardener who was also his step mum who he didn't know about and who he was currently having a serious makeout session with right now
"enjoying the movie?"Courtney asked , I let out a little giggle while focusing back on the movie , Courtney sits up and stretches them settling back down so her head would be on my laps then I feel I feel her playing with the tip of my hair and I look down at her " seen the movie before" she shrugged
"Oh" I mouthed before focusing back on the movie

I woke up the next morning opening my eyes wondering where I was until I realized I was in the sitting room, I felt a weight on top of me and looked down to see she was still sleeping soundly with her head on my shoulder and the blanket all tangled between us , I tried to get off as quietly as I could so I wouldn't wake her up ... well that was a fail cos she slowly began to stir before opening her eyes
" Goodmorning Lexi with an I " sge muttered making me smile at her geekyness wondering how a normal human being would think of that immediately after waking up
"Goodmorning our majesty " I said humorously as she sat up allowing me to do the same, I reached for my phone which was on the ground beside us and checked and saw no missed calls or text which was a relief so I text my mum telling her I was fine and asking how she was and sent a text to Beth telling her I hope she's awake I'm not ready to be a God mother yet , Beth replies immediately with a selfie of her and Mark who was still asleep which I knew was taken now , I look up to see a frightened expression in Courtney's face as she stared into my phone
"Is everything alright?" I asked
"Yeah... uhmmm is that Beth ? "
"Yes and that's her boyfriend Mark " I said pointing at mark
"I kn... they look so cute " she said
I nodded in agreement still finding Courtney's reaction strange while I stand up and go into my room .

After a full year I'm back who missed me ... nobody?
Ok I get 😂😂 I'll leave you guys on suspense and you'll miss me then hehehe.... but truly I'm sorry for being gone so long , we're good right ?
