Most of these chapters will be written in Julie's point of view. But there will be some in Ashton's.

Julie's pov:

Road trips are the worst.

Especially when you are moving halfway across the country in a mini van that is one check engine away from self destructing.

I just hope California will be worth the endless hours of hearing my brother, Jake, ask "are we there yet" for probably the fiftieth time.

"Are we there yet?"

And make that fifty-one.

"Fresh air!!' I scream when we finally pull up at our house.

It was a nice brick house. Definitely a lot more space than our house before. I looked forward to the extra space, especially closet space.

As a teenage girl with an unfortunate shopping obsession, it was a bit overdue.

I take out one of the books that I wasn't able to read in the car because of my carsickness, and head to one of the bedrooms that would be mine.

"First one on the left!!!" My mom yells from somewhere downstairs. This is a two story house with all the main rooms in on the first floor, and all the bedrooms on the second.

I looked around my new room to see it has a good size. It's definitely gonna need re-painted and jazzed up a little bit, but it will do.

Well, until I'm in college. The first three weeks of my junior year passed, which is just great, and now I'm gonna be that lost student in the hall way probably going into the wrong classrooms and embarrassing myself in front of everyone.

There was no furniture around so I sat in the next best place.

The Floor.

Yeah, this is going to need some major updating.

Luckily, with my dad's salary increase, my parents were cool with us getting new brand new furniture for our rooms.

I assumed that was there way of trying to make up for the fact that we had to move so close graduating.

Am I upset about it?

Very.

But for the sake of not putting any additional stress on my parents, I sucked it up and kept the feelings down.

Plus, a fresh new start could be good for me.

"Okay Julie you had enough time up there. Help unpack with the family!!" My mom shouts from somewhere downstairs.

Fresh New Start.

"And done." My dad says putting down the last object to make our place seem more like our old home back in South Carolina.

I am definitely gonna miss that place. Not for all the alligators and animals there, but my best, and well only friend, Emma, who I basically grew up with.

Let me tell you, it was a long, long, long, and even longer car trip.

We stayed in about 4 different over night hotels.

Anyways, after 3 brutal hours. Our house was pretty much furnished.

For the most part.
