A man was awoken by a knocking sound coming from his basement. He walked toward the door and froze with his hand on the handle. He slowly pressed his ear against the door and heard scratching and hissing. Thinking it was only his cat he opened the door to reveal scratch marks on the stairs and blood splattered on the walls. In horror, the man slowly walked down the stairs into the pitch black basement.
He finally reached the bottom and turned the corner when he felt something brush against his leg. He slid his phone out of his pocket and turned it on. The light from the screen brightened the area around the man. He moved his phone toward the ground and saw a broom. He laughed at himself and continued on into the basement. He stopped when his phone battery died. He stood there, in the dark and all alone, staring into the darkness. All of a sudden his cat jump into his arms. The man smiled and headed back upstairs.
The next day the man looked at his phone and saw pictures of him in the basement. The pictures were taken on his phone. He looked through the pictures and saw a creature behind him in one. "How can this be," the man whispered to himself," I've live alone." He heard a creak behind him and spun around to find himself face to face with a hideous creature.
