What happens in Slytherin stays in Slytherin

Chapter 4

I have never really tried to get all dressy for anything. In fact the last time I wore a dress was for the Yule Ball. I had my hair a half up half down messy bun the ends were curled. My dress was black with what looked like vines wrapping around my arms. A snake belt laid around my waist. I walked down the stairs and into the common room. The room was empty except for Lucius, Severus, Narcissa, and Bellatrix.

Lucius made a low whistle as I came in. I grinned at him as I walked up. "You look beautiful, all of you do and yes that includes you Severus." Lucius smirked. Severus just kept staring at me, no reaction. I cleared my throats which seemed to bring him back to earth. "Alright let's go" Lucius said.

After a few minutes of getting through the castle without being detected we headed out and past the boundary. "Everyone grab each others hands." Lucius instructed. I grabbed on Bella and Severus hands and before I knew it I felt like I was being shoved down a rubber tube. We landed in front of a large estate. I grabbed Severus's shoulder to steady myself. He looked at me without any expression. I slowly lift my hand "sorry" I mumble and start walking to catch up with Lucius and the others.

We entered into the mansion and ran into a bunch of people dancing. I followed my friends into the crowd until we were standing in front of a handsome dark haired man. "Ah Lucius these must be your friends you have been telling me about." The man said. Lucius bowed, quickly I followed as the rest of my friends did. "My lord, this is Narissa, she is very skilled at the dark arts and potions. Almost top of her class." I nudged him "oh, forgive me, she is top of her class" I bowed again. The man took my hand and kissed it, "pleasure to meet you"

After introducing us Lucius and Narcissa wandered off into the crowd. Bellatrix and the man wandered away together leaving me with Severus. We stood on the edge of the dance floor keeping away from everyone. I look to Severus who looked as bored as ever "so-"
"If you are going to ask me to dance I will have to decline" he shot out.
I stood there aghast "I wasn't and most certainly would not ask you to dance" I said in frustration. "Keep telling yourself that" he sneered. It took all my self control not to smack him. I heavily sighed and looked out to the dance floor.

Leaning against the wall I folded my arms over each other. This was the worst night I have ever had. I caught Bella wandering over to a us with a dreamy look on her face. "He's such a dream" she sighed as she leaned against the wall next to me. "Who?" I ask. "The dark lord of course, you know, Voldemort." I held back a laugh. "Is that the name of that handsome young man?" I ask. She smiled and nodded.

I roll my eyes and stare at the people again. "You two look so bored" Bellatrix laughed "go dance with each other"
"Severus has made it clear that he doesn't want to dance with me" I said
"Well to bad for him, Severus go dance with her or I'll burn all your books." Bella threatened. Severus glared at her before grabbing my hand and pulling me out into the dance floor.

We danced to the slow music in silence. "Well you gave into that easily" I said smiling. Red crossed his cheeks lightly, "well I am very fond of my belongings." He snapped back. Rolling my eyes I looked around. My eyes landed on Voldemort, he was looking directly into my eyes smirking. I quickly avoided his gaze continuing to dance. "That man is strange" I whispered "he keeps staring" Severus spinner us around so that my back was facing Voldemort. "He does seem interesting." Severus whispered back.

The music stopped after the song was over and everyone seemed to gather in front of the stage. Voldemort stood on the stage, his smile was snake like as he stared down at us. "My dear friends, thank you all for coming to this wonderful party. For it's not everyday people are accepted and chosen to join a family who accepts and understands each other. I would like to show everyone here what it's like to not be alone, to show what the true meaning of friendship is, the power that we will all gain and the fear we will strike into all muggles and mudbloods alike." The crowd cheered at that. My blood froze for a second or two. My mind completely blocked out his words.

What does that mean, striking fear into mudbloods and muggles. "Join me my friends and I will show you the way through this world, I will show you the true meaning of power." Voldemort finished letting the crowd cheer. He made his way back down to the dance floor and into the crowd.

"Narissa....Narissa, we should probably head back" Lucius said holding a hand out to me. "Lets go find the Dark Lord and thank him." Lucius grabbed my hand and pulled me through the crowd and to the snake like man. "My lord, we give our deepest regrets, but we have to head back to Hogwarts. "Of course Lucius, of course. Please consider my offer Narissa" he said kissing my hand again. I was stunned as he said my name. I couldn't speak as we all made our way back to Hogwarts and into the common room.

"That was the best party I have ever been to." Bellatrix said in a sing song voice. I groaned as I fell into bed "I have a quiz in herbology tomorrow" I whined. "Wasn't the dark lord so handsome" Bella sighed. "Oh yes....very handsome" I sighed before falling asleep.
