Perhaps bringing your easily angered boyfriend to a place full of living, breathing organisms was a bad idea but you'd never admit it out loud.

Besides, Zenix needed more social interaction. He stayed in his house too much and that couldn't be healthy for him. ( I mean, he did hiss when you opened some curtains to let light in )

So your brilliant plan was to bring him to the mall. After all, the mall had something for everyone and he was sure to find something he enjoyed.

In the adorable minute that you entered the mall, you could feel his grip on your hand tighten. His fingers laced into yours and he kept you close. He was an awkward boy in unfamiliar territory that involved scary beings. Humans.

At the beginning, you had let him lead you around but he never reallly went inside a store. He even avoided the food court.

"Let's go here- Wait no, Those clothes look ugly."

"Zenix, How about that place-", You piped up and pointed to a busy store titled Macy's.

"Eww no. (Y/N), You know that I hate Macy's with a burning passion"

Time to take matter into your own hands.

"Mhm. Let me choose babe~", You cooed as if he was a child and proceeded to take the lead. Confidently striding past people, you were determined to bring him somewhere he would enjoy.

Hot Topic.

The sign stood out and that's when you decided where to take him. The store had edgy people clothing right? And didn't he go shopping there with Gene on Tuesday's? He would surely want to go there with you if he goes with Gene often.

You quickly asked, "Babe, How about Hot Topic?". Zenix froze for a moment as he looked around cautiously before answering bluntly.

"Fine. They might have good stuff"

Your nose wrinkled at his bland and harsh tone, you loved the man but he could be so rude at times. One moment, he's a cute flustered tsundere and the next he's a complete jerk who doesn't give a crap about your feelings. And on top of that, he seemed excited to go to Hot Topic with Gene but apparently going with you would be boring.

Rude.

Regardless, you smiled brightly at him and gave his hand a quick squeeze before pulling him towards the store.

Unfortunately, your phone buzzed in your pocket causing you to let go of Zenix and check what was wrong. It was a text from Sasha claiming that Zenix left his underwear on the stairs and that you should tell him to clean it up.

Sighing, you attempted to type a response but was cut off when a woman bumped into you.

The impact was so sudden and forceful that it caused you to fall backwards. Landing on your bum, you groaned slightly from the short spur of pain.

"Ow- Ugh that hurt"

You looked upwards and saw a furious Zenix standing infront of you. The veins on his neck and head were practically bulging out of his skin. He was gritting his teeth in a frustrated manner and his fist clenched together.

You swore you heard him mutter a few curses under his breath as his gaze followed the lady that had "pushed" you.

"I wanna go after her, I wanna slap her! She didn't even attempt to say sor-"

You cut him off quickly, not wanting him to get so riled up over a small incident, "It's fine Zenix". Shakily standing up, you dusted the back of your shorts off before facing your lover.

He clearly wanted to show that woman not to mess with his lady, he probably wouldn't care if he got arrested afterwards.

"But she was rude, I don't want her treating you like that!" He countered after a minute.

Shrugging your shoulders lightly, you gripped his hands again and took them into your palms. "Hush. Calm down" you whispered softly to him.

Gently running your thumb over the rough skin of his knuckles and hand, you tried to calm him down.

Standing on the tip of your toes, you began to whisper sweet nothings inside his ear.

"I love you"

"She's not worth it"

"You're so much better than this, just stay with me"

"I'll be so sad if you let go of me now"

The words calmed him down slowly and he stopped focusing on the lady and instead focused on you.

He watched you try to comfort and calm him, whispering sweet stuff to him. Cliche yet sweet words that made his anger melt.

Suddenly feeling flustered, he turned his gaze from yours and let go of one of your hands. "Yeah. Whatever, Let's just go to the store now before we waste more time here"

Grinning mischievously, you gave him a bold response. "Since you didn't threaten the woman directly. I'll give you a reward and let you pick me out some undergarments"

His face turned bright red and he wasted no time in pulling you into a store. Who knew he would get so into this shopping trip.
