I wasn't a normal kid at birth, but now, I am going to Middle school. I feel like everyone is going to be there just to judge me. I am also very scared.
Walking in was easy, well I mean, people did look at me and question why I was here to one another, but it was okay. It was until lunch that really got me. Everyone sat at tables, and I had to choose one that was in the corner because no one wanted to sit with me. More or less want me near them.
It was about time to go back to class when this boy came and sat next to me. "Why are you alone?" He asked, trying to be calm I answered with, "Because. No one really cares that I am here. I am so different from everyone else." He looked at me with an expression on his face as I was lying. "Being different isn't always bad though. Just imagine, what we would be like if we were all the same. We liked the same things, we dressed the same. Just think about it. How would that be just to live in a black and white world with no original personality?" I looked at him and nodded, he was right. If everyone was the same we would be so bland, nothing new to do, no original personalities. "Also, we can always meet at the park and hang out. I want to be your friend. You deserve the kindness that you don't think you get. By the way, I am Sam." I looked at him and sighed "Also if I am not mistaking we have the same class next period. I am going to be walking with you so you don't feel alone." After getting a few things thrown at me, some words and slurs. I knew that nothing could ruin the fact that Sam was there for me. There may not always be kindness in this world, but Sam made sure that there was at least a little bit. With that, we continued our day. There's always the slightest of kindness somewhere.
